What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Not sure, I've seen a split second advert for it but it doesn't actually show anything, just says "International Rescue, FAB" then says coming soon???

It's called Thunderbirds are Go! and it's on ITV. (well actually CITV)

They've already commissioned series 2 and 3 with 26 EPs...

No - I should have used future tense and said it will be on CITV.

Been digging the D.V.D's out tonight. Arn Knight Templar (or Arn - Tempelriddaren -being clever, as most of the film is in Swedish with sub-titles. There's a few more languages in there for effect) A most enjoyable (and a few time seen) film with some decent acting via the excellent Stellan Skarsgård (the menacing leader of the Celts in Clive Owen's King Arthur and Bibi Anderson as a sadistic Mother Superior of a convent. This film was also the first time I saw Sofia Helin who, despite a quite bad facial scar she acquired via a bicycle accident in real life, is still one of the most dazzlingly attractive women I've seen on film in years. Chuck in Steven Waddington and Simon Callow and you have a good cast. The film isn't all about Templars but more the internal Scandanavian struggles in the twelfth century. Not new as I've had it ages, but ever enjoyable. Nothing wrong with a re-run....

Narrated by Sven Bertil Taube gave me a smile because he was in Alaistair Maclean's Puppet on a chain and that's about forty odd years ago.

Watched the new Clint Eastwood film "American Sniper " (with Bradley Cooper in the lead role).Wasn't as bad (or over the top American marine "Hoo Haa") as I thought it would have been. Supposedly keeps mostly true to the real life events and a big shock at the end. Cooper is actually quite good in it. Decent film to watch.

Final series of Breaking Bad. We stopped watching this for the World Cup and have finally found time to start watching again. Couldn't quite remember where we were up to so have started the whole final series (pt1) again to recap.

Saw tank warfare film Fury last night, very impressed. It was balanced between characterisation and action and very well acted.

Just watched John Sargent' Lancaster Bomber documentary. Amazing to realise the average age of the seven man bomber crews was just 22 years, with a life expectancy of two weeks. It was claimed that only one is left flying but in September last year two flew over Lake Windermere to commemorate the Dam Busters Raid. A few emotional moments, with a woman being taken out to a lake in Peenemunde Germany where the wreck of the plane her father crewed is still visible.

sorry to have missed that..

I have said this before - my Uncle Mick McManus - 2nd Sept. 1922 - 23rd July 2000 (I conducted the funeral) - was a Lancaster bomber navigator in WW2. I've been in a Lancaster navigator seat - it's scary enough in a museum on the ground - never mind flying over Germany with ant-aircraft fire and fighter pilots firing stuff at you.....

you weren't disappointed by the final battle? was nice of the SS to stop shooting at them while they chilled out and supped some whiskey in the tank for a bit...
