Agree with the concerns regarding recent BBC bias but Farron does have a question to answer there. If he thinks gay sex is a sin he should have the courage of such convictions and say so publicly
Really? As a member of the electorate I honestly couldn't care less what his personal views are on homosexuality are. There's also the fact that he's been singled out for this line of questioning due to his Christianity. Are the media going to be singling other MPs out to ask them personal questions based on their faiths? In the run up to a GE have they not got more pertinent and relevant questions for our politicians?
Would we want a political leader who thinks gay sex is a sin, or is morally wrong in this day and age? As Insane has alluded to, I think at the very least he should clarify his views on equal rights and whether they are compatible with his religious convictions
I couldn't care less as to what consenting adults get up to.

If I could care less then that would be as to what others think about it.
I don't think anyone on here could either. The inference was whether there was a possibility his religious beliefs meant he believed that LGBT folk should be treated less fairly. I think he's clarified, eventually, that they don't. As others have said - his voting record supports that

Oh Lordy.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article ... nurse.html

This is out of hand now. The BBC are going after Corbyn almost daily. I'm no Corbyn fan, but to suggest there is anything but a virtual complete right wing Tory bias in our media right now, is absolutely absurd.

I'm thinking people with a brain might need to do something about this. I'm not sure letting all this slip by unquestioned is doing our country any favours. This is probably the worst position we've been in for decades. Post-truth my arse....

Are you intent on making a mountain out of a small termites nest?
The report appeared to say that the BBC admitted they should have made it clear that the Trot they interviewed was a cheerleader for the Corbyn massive. As they should do in all interviews, irrespective of allegiances.
Quite clearly you are a fan of politically motivated employees in the public services where more sickness absences and strikes occur than in the rest of the economy. Len McCluskey and Mark Serwotka anyone?

Indeed. In the rest of the economy, working people cheerily rely on state hand-outs and food banks to survive because of poor working conditions and pay.

F*cking Public Sector bastards. Represent everything thats wrong with our country.

You forgot the apostrophe in that's. It is apparently the benefits claimers who make up the majority of food bank users, although what you could possibly know about the general subject is debatable. I hope you are not suggesting that the public sector suffer from poor working conditions and pay because they are still ahead of the non-financial employer private sector in both. The public sector is now the last redoubt of defined benefit pensions in addition, although the teachers do get a raw deal compared to the rest as their pension scheme is largely self-funded.

p.s. Pleased to help.

F*cking apostrophes.

Represent everything thats wrong with this country.

And how dare people have good pensions. W*nkers.

And as for teachers. Teaching kids and stuff. Bellends.

If you don't read the Mail you should probably start, it'll be right up your street.

You really should calm down. That blood pressure reading must be fairly high.
You again missed the apostrophe in "thats". Those teachers must have found you a tricky little herbert.

FYI I have no problem with people having good pensions. But I guessed, probably correctly, that your socialist views would get the better of you and you would rise to the defence of the downtrodden union members. Ha.

Finally, my regular reading material ist Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung and Viz.

Typical fcukin' snowflake, Passionate campaigner my ass!
Gets an answer to a question she doesn't like and fcuks off to her safe space, does she query the answer, does she engage to tell him he is wrong? No she fcuks off to Facebook to moan to all the other unintelligent morons that manifest that waste of bandwidth.
Andrew Turner, who has represented the Isle of Wight since 2001, made the comments during a question and answer session at Christ the King College in Newport. One student describing herself as a “passionate campaigner for LGBT rights” asked her local MP if he was involved in the Isle of Wight’s first ever Pride event.
In a post on Facebook, Esther Poucher said she was shocked to the point of outrage by Turner’s response. “He told us that he’d been invited, but wasn’t intending to go. This is because (and this is a direct quote) he thinks that homosexuality is ‘wrong’ and “dangerous to society’,” she wrote.
“At this answer, I had to leave".
Well love I hope you grow up fast because in the big wide world people do have differing opinions and not all of them will run off and hide from you and your imaginary friends on Faceachebook.

Oh and just for good measure here's a pic of the flake.

Status update I'm sobbing.

Hobes, what on earth are you on about? What was there to gain from her staying? You can't debate someone's archaic and discriminatory views. There isn't any point. It's not like a discussion on taxation policy.

The shameful thing in that story is that a what, 17 ish year old girl has to embarrass the Tory party into removing a known homophobe. That is the only shameful thing in that story.

I'm struggling to recall when the BBC ever introduced someone as arselicking, sycophantic, blue-rinse Tory so what this woman's support for Corby has to do with owt is beyond me.

No point in having discussions, typical fcuking lefty attitude, okay if there is no point I'll vote for any party that vows to shoot fcukers that don't agree with me.
The shameful thing is you only have to be a half wit, no now't 18yr old to vote and Miss Flake is nearly there.

There isn't any point having a discussion with someone who is openly discriminatory. It isn't a debate about the best way to cook a chicken. The bloke was clearly intolerant. And I don't think a young girl engaging him in a debate would have changed that.

She's a young girl, why wouldn't she have ranted on Facebook. I know young people make you angry. Such is life.

Wrong, not all young people make me angry just the sheeple who are brainwashed by some sinister re-writers or air brushers of history.
On the subject matter, I personally don't give a monkeys what a persons sexuality is but I fail to see why they have to make a big thing of announcing it to the world :conf:
