Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I guess it's only like why some of us prefer the car to public transport, you cannot get away from the great unwashed otherwise

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I am pleased to say I am going to retake the course and pay for it in instalments, It will mean having to spend 6 hours in college a week after work but I think on reflection it would be silly for me to just bumble through life. Even if my employer doesn't believe this qualification is important it could in the future help me obtain a job in the north west which is my real goal anyway(to get back up there and still be able to see Bolton regularly), so for that reason alone it could well be worth it. Thank you for the bits of advice you all gavePrufrock wrote:In fairness, when he said he wasn't going to retake the exam for football, that was fecking stupid. When it comes to deciding whether or not to shell out £800 to do the course again, that's a proper decision. But Dan, ffs don't let football play a part. Also this job might not want it but the next one might. You might not want to do that one again, but there might be an alternative. The other thing worth bearing in mind is that you only failed one module, so clearly the course isn't beyond you. You've just got a block on that bit. Address it.

My season ticket has just arrived. I was half hoping they'd banned me to be honest.

My room is apparently called "an annex", it is in the landlords bungalow although the landlord is never about so the rest of the bungalow is empty.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Car insurance.
Friday, I approached a set of traffic lights turning red. Slowed to a halt in the outside lane and stopped. One white van in front of me. Other side of the traffic lights - which I couldn't see at the time - was coned off in the outside lane. Van driver, not paying attention decides to reverse down three lane carriageway straight into me, despite me hitting the car-horn. He gets out apologises and gives me his details etc. and off we trot. On getting home, I look at the car and there's not much damage - cracked number plate and scuffed bumper.
Saturday, I ring the car insurance, to check where I'm at with the policy excess etc. said to them, I wasn't sure whether to pursue a claim as the value was likely to be fairly low - might not even reach the excess value, probably just needed settling outside. Bastards then told me that I'd lose 5 years of my no claims as "fault" hadn't been determined yet, which now really means I have no choice but to press on with the insurance claim - just to try and get 1) any excess back that I've paid out and 2) restore my no-claims - which might be tricky if the other guy has a rethink and says I went into the back of him whilst he was stationary.
Wankers.
