Fair dos, guess it's one of those marmite acts I guess. I find them quite fun, though sometimes they wander over into smug.
Still, worth checking out the fool us show, as it's not really about them.

Took NMB's lad to watch Southpaw last night. 6.5/10, non credible storyline, some decent performances but no depth to the characters

Started a couple of days ago. Watched 6 already, very impressed. Welliver is even better than I expected, and unlike yiu I wouldn't deny the misetable bugger a bit of how's your father!TANGODANCER wrote:Please don't mention Cruise and Reacher in the same sentence.LeverEnd wrote:Great character and writer I agree. I've read about 5/6 of them but intend to read the lot.TANGODANCER wrote:Started the Bosch series. Just three episodes so far. Michael Connely is just the best at detective fiction and I've read most of his books.
Titus Welliver is a good actor too, how does he come across? Better than Cruise/Reacher?!
Keep meaning to pick up this series myself.![]()
They're leaning a bit heavy on the bedroom stuff I.M.O, L.E. I never really saw Bosch that way. Welliver is fine in the part because Bosch is also more brains than brawn. All in all, interesting. I'm looking forward to the rest.

'Alone' on the History channel. 10 outdoors types dumped in the wilderness on their own. One who lasts the longest and avoids the bears, cougars and wolves wins. Great telly

I Miss Saigon.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Watched The Dark Valley (not to be confused withDark Valley, apparently). A dark in every sense Unforgiven style warts and all western, except it's in Austria. Grim and savage tale of revenge filmed in the mountainous wilds.. Worth a watch for any western fans.

Re: What are you watching tonight?
Watched the new Mission Impossible film last night, was ok but very very cheesy and far too much Simon Pegg trying to be all serious and macho for my liking. Decent, no brain needed, film though.
