get the kids to design/paint/handprint their own cards, ffs! - or take a photo of them holding up their crayonned signs saying happy birthday or we love u mummy and stick that on a card... pretty much free and dead easy. bought cards from the kids are from parents who can't be arsed!
there are 10,000 schmaltzy ideas (that mummies love) on the web for kids making cards for mummy if you go and have a look!

If you've got MS Publisher and a duplex printer I might be able to find a couple of card templates, where you just type some text in and add any images/photos you want. Means all the layout is done for you and will print properly without faff.

I hope she won't mind me 'outing' her, but what GG did for Father's Day was lovely and a great example of what you can do with a bit of creativity and imagination. You could do a lot worse than something similar.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
i actually succumbed to the funkymoonpigeon pandemic last night, but with Paperchase as im quite a fan of their wares.
Their price includes first class postage 'guaranteed to arrive the next working day'.... untill a note AFTER THE CHECKOUT said, cards will be printed within the next 3 working days, then sent out first class... the filthy sneaky dodgy bastards. I bought two, one from me and one from the girls. their website is terrible and it took ages. Plus we go away on staurday so she probably wont receive them till 8 days afetr her birthday! suppose ill probably grab a couple in Euston on the way home...

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Some people don't deserve to exist. I hope she's OK and can move past it.

She seems OK but as she's said, the most valuable thing he took was her peace of mind. Not what you need when you're in your 100th year.
