Been away from the site overnight, and I've just seen there are 54 replies to "Flying visit from a Spur" on the New Members page. As I'm watching, replies are being posted by GG, the Spud, Bish, Crazy Horse.
The anticipation is building... I'm going to wait 'til my tea-break then read 'em all slowly from the beginning. [Sad or what]

She's infatuated - what can i say.

To be fair, i can't really blame her.

Country living! Was unbelievably pleasant this morning getting up to the sound of birds rather than traffic...

The time of year. Had a potter about in the garden and the trees at the bottom have blossom appearing already, and we saw the year's first butterfly; red admiral. Mr Robin's still fighting for his share of the food with a multitude of finches. Lovely. :)

My garden pond is fair bubbling with copulating frogs! A fair few newts in there too about to get enshrouded in spawn.

I once decided to set fire to a dead confiner on a day that everyone had put their washing out. I don't know if you've ever seen one go up or the smoke that comes off? Blimey Charlie! I was actually worried at one point - really worried.

Strangely, I didn't get asked round to any barbecues that year! :?

Yeh. When we first moved into the house we now live in there was a really old knackered shed in the garden. Over the course of that summer I stuffed it full of all sorts of rubbish from out the house and garden, and then in late August set fire to it. Flames were shooting out about 60 feet high. I was standing by with a bucket of water to douse the surrounding vegetation but couldn't get anywhere near it for the heat.
And then I heard a little voice in my ear - my new neighbour had 'popped' round and she said "Do you know your shed's on fire?"
When I told her, Yes, I'd started it, she looked at me like I was Jack Nicholson out of the Shining. :D

Law-breaker.

Garden fires should not be lit until dusk, for this very reason.
