Young lad and his dad won Pointless tonight. Alexander Armstrong asked the lad: "You're from Manchester. Are you a United supporter?

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I only have trainers, spikes, football boots, astros, a pair of boots and flip flops for the summer. I haven't bought a pair of shoes in agggeeeesssss. The kids however, have far too many pairs of 'shoes' - especially Jessie.bobo the clown wrote:Bllx they aren't. Every last one .... EVERY last one. Took all the loose change that I throw into an ice bucket when changing my trousers down to one of those money sorty outy jobbies at the supermarket, and I'm now £200 better off than I thought I was
(though they do charge you 9% for doing it).

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I don't actually own a pair of trainers although I did once have a couple of pairs of Vans.
I suppose my favourite footwear are my limited edition vintage DMs (1460 pairs made) that were about 175 quid.
I remember the days when they were a working boot not a designer accessory - times change!

I don't want to start any blasphemous rumours but i think that God's got a sick sense of humour and when i die i expect to find him laughing

and... at a little over 1yr old - why the huge distinction in your mind about what is a "girl's" show and what is a "boy's" shoe? Sounds a bit like classic gender-stereotyping to me!!

Re: Today I'm happy about......
I was playing it up slightly! The main reason she has more then Jack is cos I saw more girls ones I liked that were on offer then boys ones! And you are correct, I am indeed guilty of gender stereotyping. Whilst Jessie has pairs of blue shoes Jack has no pink ones... I will go hang my head in shame!thebish wrote:Gooner Girl wrote:Cos girls shoes are prettier! Boys ones are boringthebish wrote:so.... why has Jessie got more shoes than Jack? The former Mrs Rioja must've fallen on hard times if there are any shoes left for the rest of womankind!

You do realise that you can pay your shedload of loose coins straight into the machines at most banks these days, don't you? They don't rip you off with commission on it either.Bruce Rioja wrote:Took all the loose change that I throw into an ice bucket when changing my trousers down to one of those money sorty outy jobbies at the supermarket, and I'm now £200 better off than I thought I was(though they do charge you 9% for doing it).

Reminds me of the time I threw some change into a busker's hat and he called me back to point out I'd thrown a Euro coin in there as well. I almost felt myself about to apologise and then somehow heroically stopped myself from strangling the plank.
