It is, although I think 2001 isn't modern in comparison. I mean look at it this way Arsenal were champions and that seems like a long time ago.
The above post is complete bollox/garbage/nonsense, please point this out to me at any and every occasion possible.

Got his just desserts.

Warning was issued, he ignored it and was run out as the laws permit.

Nothing to see here.

I'm with you and others, jaffka. Storm, teacup and whining come to mind.

Just spotted this one, after being away for the week. I'd have flirted him after one warning.

Backing up good and professional. Backing up and cheating - off you pop, thanks.

There's no law to say you need to give a warning. I flirted someone once, without a warning, let him get half-way back to the hut before calling him back. He did it about two balls later, I let him carry on walking.

Oh no no no, Worthy. You simply don't get it. If you're playing for England at cricket then it's OK for you to waltz off down the wicket, ignore two warnings for doing exactly that, but then piss and moan and claim that 'It's not in the spirit of the game' when you're ran out for doing exactly that that you've been warned not to do - twice. However, if you're playing for England at football then it's perfectly fine and obviously 'within the spirit of the game' if you dive into a tackle, studs out at shin height, and happen to press the top of the ball causing it to bounce up slightly. That's your ball, that is. You've won it cleanly. Then bringing your trailing foot through to flatten the chap is merely fair game. Don't agree, else you'll get called 'a wuss'

Hey. "Wuss" was for other stuff. I agreed with this from the off. Special treatment is for the wusses. He got what he deserved.

Yeah! Brucie is inconsistent too, just the opposite way around. :fingers: Running someone out like that is fine but Sterling tries to tackle somebody and he might hurt his ickle wickle leg and it's just not cricket.

...Mind, I didn't think the Honduran who kicked the ball at Studger deserved a booking. Got the ball, clean as a whistle.... :-)

That's the Salford Sunday League for you! :-)

First Test of the summer starts today - at last, 2014's sporting calendar really starts.

Just hope there are no other sporting events that might disturb me if I want to watch it in a pub...

And "Oh..." again.

But this time with more emphasis.

Where's KP when you need him?

Moeen Ali has a splendid beard.

I hope Wanderers sign someone with a beard that good this summer - I may go to watch them if they do.

We have, allegedly, signed a new goalkeeper:

but I bet he hasn't got any sort of beard. Let alone one that good....

Monty's wasn't _that_ short.

Are you only allowing Victorian Gentleman beards, a-la W G Grace, to count?

Would you allow former England spin-bowling coach Mushtaq Ahmed? He had a good beard.

Mike Selvey had a fairly good beard - you can see it on his twitter icon...
