Can't be half as over the top as the real life, broadcast on TV version of events.

Very true, although last nights episode was Very "hateful 8/tarantino-esque" in its over use of the "N" word

Just watched the first episode of 'Narcos' on Netflix. Made by the same dude who did the 'Elite Squad' movies and even has good ol' Captain Nascimento as Pablo Escobar, so it's right up my street!

Foxcatcher. Not really my thing. Probably not helped by me being ill and having to watch it over 3 days because I keep falling asleep. Meh.

Watched two old Irish classics tonight. Ryan's Daughter with John Mills incredible as the backward village mute, and a superb piece of acting by Richard Harris in The Field. John Hurt was also superb in a similar role to John Mills. Really top films.

Bit heavy on the voiceover as the Elite Squad movies (fans of Narcos should check 'em out) were as they were cramming a lot of story into 2 hours, hopefully it'll die down as they've got more time over a TV series - but I can put up with it if not. :D

I enjoyed Foxcatcher. definitely has pacing issues, and i had a hard time convincing myself they were meant to be brothers! but Steve Carell is creepily excellent.

Well that was different. you take your seats as the screen shows a picture of the Royal court filling up along with all the sounds and mumurings, but when the play starts its easy forget you are watching live. there wasnt many people in the screening so the jokes fell a bit flat but you could hear them going down well in the theatre. you even get a 20min interval!

the play itself was great too, although David Morrisey can not do accents, why dont they just let him be scouse!?

A bit of Hollywood, a load of stunts, a couple of car chases and some impressive special effects, and the rest filmed in any old warehouse with no lights, that you like. Looks like they kept the cast list from Olympus has fallen behind and did a remake for London. I forgot you'd posted on it. Wish I hadn't.

Last nights Mid morning matters. I've found this to be fairly average but last night's episode was Partridge back at his best. Quality

Just watched the Sutherland father and son team in a 2015 release, "Forsaken" a tale of tumbleweed and mayhem in 1870s Wyoming. Decent acting performances but there aren't too many plots to go at in westerns and this is nothing new. Jack Baur with a Colt 45. Demi Moore tries to look like a worn out rancher's wife..and succeeds. Worth a watch if you like the old wild west. Brian Cox convinced me as a dislikable villain. He usually does.

Jim Jefferies "Bare" on Netflix. Loved it, man is a genius, but not for the faint-hearted. I love that every time there is an American gun massacre, his bit on gun control goes viral, being shared by all the right-on liberal lefty loonies who make up my friendbase in North London.

I don't *think* they've seen all of his show.

He referenced that "incident" in the latest show. A lot of his earlier stuff is more rubbish than good, but a lot of the "offence" comedians take a while to get it right.

So, they eventually become comedians then by your deduction. Even then then it's a matter of opinion. Do you not agree?

Have you eaten a thesaurus, man?

Yeah, course it's a matter of opinion if someone's funny, but it's a pretty dull point to be making: different people like different things. Presumably you'll be piping up next time someone says Mrs Brown's Boys is shite saying it's all a matter of opinion :D?
