They interviewed some scrotters from up Gateshead way on 5L this morning, Tango. All said that the incentive wouldn't stop them, one even saying she'd take the vouchers but would carry on smoking regardless as no-one would know.

Apparently, I'm ignorant and behind the times. I'd accept this at face value, if it wasn't from colleagues who are basing this on a query I sent asking why we seem quite so obsessed with Twitter. We are pulling together a very large conference which will attract delegates who are mainly over 50. Every single poster, flyer, handout starts with a hashtag. It means feck all to me and, I suspect, most of our intended audience, but oh no, it's the way we do things "These days". Fair enough. I was always under the impression that the primary skill in communicating an idea is making it clear and easily understood. #feckoff.....whatever that means.
