How much more will it take before people wake up and smell the coffee about the EU and it's border controls? When the whole of fcuking Africa gets in?Earlier Tuesday, the European Union’s top migration official said the EU must quickly adapt to the growing numbers of migrants trying to reach its shores, as new figures showed that more than 7,000 migrants have been plucked from the Mediterranean in the last four days.
“The unprecedented influx of migrants at our borders, and in particular refugees, is unfortunately the new norm, and we will need to adjust our responses accordingly,” the EU’s commissioner for migration, Dimitris Avramopoulos, told lawmakers in Brussels.
More than 280,000 people entered the European Union illegally last year. Many came from Syria, Eritrea and Somalia and made the perilous sea journey from conflict-torn Libya.
The EU is full of blasted liberal leftie types like those dangerous bastards that ruined this country's education and thus churned out either the Stella swigging hordes or the bloody baby factories and created the myth it is never anybody's fault for being pricks!!
How long before they start dictating quota's for the redistribution of illegals and asylum seekers?
Weak minded lefties will screw us all in the end, the only good thing about ISIS is the fact it has opened some peoples eyes to the fact that others are just horrible bastards who should be exterminated!
I doubt even the puppet master Merkel will be able to rein in the lefties unless the EU gets broken up.
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
not so... most of the EU govts are under some kind of right wing govt. last time I looked our own country sent 43 UKIP & Tory MEPs and only 20 labour...Hoboh wrote:The EU is full of blasted liberal leftie types...
what figures are you going on to support this claim?
here's a handy map of the shift rightwards (blue) across Europe in the last 30-odd years...

When have the liberal lefties ever had power in this country?
When has it ever stopped them introducing things that excuse responsibility?

this makes no sense at all!
can you show how the EU is "full of blasted liberal leftie types"? anything?
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
bish, liberal lefties infest our society at all levels like some hidden germs. In the corridors of power in Brussels just like in positions of power or higher management in this country, liberal offend no one, find an excuse for everything types exist, they tend to fester around education and social areas like flies round a turd.thebish wrote:Hoboh wrote:

There are people screaming in the Guardian comments about the poor boat people, how it's our fault and how we should be accepting them no questions asked, the EU are looking at their policy not on how to stop these people but how to accept them.
Your just playing daft over this, just where do you think discipline in schools went after the last lot of liberal views or shelling out for the Sutcliff's of this world since the rope got dropped?
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
that's the best you can do? you declare that the EU is "full of blasted liberal leftie types" - then, when shown that it manifestly is not - not those who make the actual decisions you rail against every day - you declare that all these blasted liberal lefty types are hidden or invisible, mysteriously and silently controlling all the decisions that these blasted right-wing types (the ones who actually make the decisions and vote on policy) actually make...Hoboh wrote:bish, liberal lefties infest our society at all levels like some hidden germs. now that's pretty inventive, even for you!!
to try and find some common ground - in a spirit of coalition...
do you now agree that the voting chamber of the EU is NOT full of "blasted liberal leftie types" - far from it?
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Yes it bloody well is, wait until next month when the new European view on the boat people is out, you'll see.thebish wrote:that's the best you can do? you declare that the EU is "full of blasted liberal leftie types" - then, when shown that it manifestly is not - not those who make the actual decisions you rail against every day - you declare that all these blasted liberal lefty types are hidden or invisible, mysteriously and silently controlling all the decisions that these blasted right-wing types (the ones who actually make the decisions and vote on policy) actually make...Hoboh wrote:bish, liberal lefties infest our society at all levels like some hidden germs. Re: Today I'm angry about.....
hmmm... it looks as though you have merely redefined the phrase "liberal leftie" so that the "leftie" part doesn't mean what it conventionally means, but (rather) simply means anyone who agrees policies or holds views that you disagree with and could equally apply to Norman Tebbit or Tony Benn...

Told you! In Euro speak that's spread them around! The European commission has drawn up a broad policy document, the European Agenda on Migration, due to be presented to member states next month. It is aimed at establishing a concerted European asylum policy and more clearly defining conditions for legal migration, while formulating “a clear plan to fight smuggling and trafficking of migrants and an effective return policy”.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I'm not really angry about this, just wearily resigned, but it follows on from Pru's earlier post.
At our place they recently installed blackboards on each floor for us drones to record our thoughts, suggestions or inspiring words. They were put out that not enough folk were using them so when I came in the other morning it wasn't too much of a surprise to see every employee had been given their own individual box of chalks. The meeting room on our floor has been turned into a 'liquid thinking room' (no, me either) & the desks and chairs have been replaced with bean bags.
This morning we had a table tennis table delivered. Over the years I've watched my terms and conditions get slightly eroded whilst whacky initiatives seem to be on the increase. My pension might be 5hit but I'll be a dab hand at wiff waff

Wait till the Greens hold the balance of power. This'll be the norm. ..... until we can't afford chalk that is.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Another bunch of your bleeding heart leftie liberals bish.Organisations such as the European Council on Refugees and Exiles will be arguing hard to restore an adequate search and rescue facility. This is surely the least that can be done by a humane society. They want greater financial solidarity between north and south, and the possibility of giving refugees papers that would allow them to live or work anywhere in Europe.
(I'd bet the fcukers wouldn't want them next door to their paid for by large salary charity or NGO pads eh?)
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
I don't think that the EU and the European Council on Refugees and Exiles are the same thing. This may have confused you because they both have the Word "European" in their name...

The European Council on Refugees and Exiles (ECRE) is a pan-European network of refugee-assisting non-governmental organisations that promotes a humane and generous European asylum policy. ECRE celebrated its 30th year of promoting the rights of asylum seekers and refugees in Europe in 2004.
ECRE started in 1974, when a handful of directors of Western European refugee support agencies recognised the need for co-operation between states to ensure that refugees were protected in Europe. It started life as the European Consultation on Refugees and Exiles, an informal platform of five refugee assisting NGOs.
As of March 2015 ECRE has a membership of 87 non-governmental organisations from 38 countries. ECRE is concerned with the needs of all individuals who seek refuge within Europe, and works to promote their protection and integration. At the EU level, ECRE responds to policies through an agreed programme of pro-active policy initiatives, research and advocacy aimed to encourage new thinking in the field of asylum in Europe. The ECRE Secretariat, based in Brussels, Belgium, monitors the policies of the European Union in relation to asylum and refugee protection. It works through research, information, policy development, capacity building and advocacy with and on behalf of its wide membership.
Re: Today I'm angry about.....
yes - thankyou. The EU and the ECRE are NOT the same thing! (as I said)
for one thing - the EU is a mainly right-wing dominated organisation (despite your persistent attempts to label it "leftie")
