Of course violence can escalate into more serious violence, and non-violence can escalate into violence.

I can certainly see how this type of prank could lead to violence (or more serious violence, if you will) by *other people*. I could see Yaxley-Lennon's goons (or elements of the far left re: Corbyn) using it as an excuse for their own thuggery, but that's not an excuse for that, nor IMO would that be the fault of the milkshakers. In fact, a cynic would argue some folk are pearl-clutching now with a view to justifying "real" violence down the road.

As I've said several times, that's not too defend the obnoxious cretins who shouldn't do it.

To put it another way, assume we do end up down your road of escalation leading to serious violence (Syrian-esque or not): which do you think would be more blameworthy? A berk on a provincial town clodding McDonalds drinks at someone, or a political leader saying he would "don khaki, pick up a rifle and head for the front lines" if Brexit wasn't delivered.
To be honest, I'm not sure. Your 'berk' is merely a footsoldier in somebody else's army, whether they want to be or not. I'm convinced that leaving a poisonous undemocratic supra-national state is the right thing to do. I'm thinking in terms of sacrifice. Like eco warriors (of which I'm one but less 'inflated' than the ultra vegans). I'm not thinking in terms of donning flak jackets yet, but I'm not far off - after all, I'm facing a constant barrage of shit from people I really detest anyway.
What I want is for all mankind to listen to me. To be be atheist, scientific, economic, aesthetic, artistic, much less fertile. It's all I ask.
Who's blameworthy? What's blameworthy got to do with it?

A quick read today on Facebook about the matter was rather depressing. Folk trying to justify it by comparing this guys actions to the cable street gang but then they were also justifying any kind of violence against Farage because 'he's a Nazi' - so it's not just Bwfci.

Taken in isolation - it's a soft drink, quite harmless and should be tomorrow's fish & chip paper.

However, what I read today was suggesting it's fine to use any kind of violence against folk you think are Nazis, which isn't too far from the racist idiots who think it's OK to attack Muslims if they think they might be jihadis
Yep seen plenty of that. Dangerous road to go down. Who decides who is a Nazi?

I reckon this is something you might agree with your old pal Tony on actually :D.

I note that Femi having drinks thrown over him and being called a traitor by a load of marching Brexiteers is not being referred to as ‘violence’. And the double standards and hypocrisy is clear as day.

Also that mental woman interrupting the Tory Brexiteer MPs interview...there is your Brexiteer. Calling Brexiteer MPs snowflakes because she doesn’t know who he is....embarrassing.

The latest fandango doesn't so much show Theresa May at fault as Prime Minister as the bunch of gutless clowns she has around her as supporting government. Politicians/members of Parliament? Not worth a carrot the lot of them.

This video is remarkable. Can’t believe how Davies engaged with her for so long with the BBC cameras rolling. Also fun to play brexiteer bingo with the woman. Remainder? Tick. Traitor? Tick. 17.4 million? Tick. Snowflake? Tick.

I haven't seen the Femi incident but surely, as before, all decent people will condemn it as unacceptable. Those that don't, are no better than the ones who thought the Farage one was OK.

It's the same with all the shouting lunatics outside parliament. Absolute morons with nothing better to do.

Unlike you and your "there is your brexiteer" I won't pretend there aren't idiots and thugs on either side of the debate.

I tell you what. Weigh it up the two sides and their actions. And I feel miles better over here than in the Brexit camp.

You can have your Robinson’s, Farages etc....happy bedfellows.

See Harry, therein is the crux of it, the never-ending story (I was about to write, Thereby hangs a tale, but I heard Prufrock's heavy-breathing approaching at speed  ) . If only all folk were decent...... and even then some would prefer Black Lace to Borodin and nut-cutlets to a chip barm. Two thousand year (plus whatever) and not one single country in the world is in agreement with their next-door neighbours. There's progress for you.

Well said. Me and thee have many views that differ (quite radically), but I feel that at the very least we at least consider what the other person has said.

There are many others who are so concreted in their opinion that nothing will move them (which is not to say I have no immovable ideas, just that with some people you can express them and with others... I'd be condemned to the stake).

Quite right too. Unless of course the person he was playing with was uncognisant with the laws of chance, and thought himself superior in the bluffing department ( which is about 99% of humanity - so maybe he would).

He’s a paid remain activist. Not sure who funds him, but he essentially has a presence in the media (social and traditional) calling out Brexit bullshit. He’s got quite a following.
