Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Speaking of Gears of War 3, if Beast mode and the latest multiplayer Beta are anything to go by, it could be the best Gears yet!

They've removed some of the modes now, for the public beta, and some maps!

Naming a few is fine.Choppers wrote:Looks amazing doesn't it! I'm calling game of the year on it, right now!
Mind you, some stiff competition! Uncharted 3, Gears of War 3, Battlefield 3, Portal 2, Batman: Arkham City and Mass Effect 3, to name just a few!
Missing the GotY, which will almost certainly be Skyrim - unforgivable.

Haha, I left plenty out tbh!

Might get the new Mortal Kombat... GET OVER HERE!
Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Some of the finishing moves on that game are gruesome, can't wait to play it!
Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
The X-Ray moves are just awful, yet good, if you know what I mean.
Week 2 of the Gears of War 3 beta starts today, they've re-enabled King of the Hill mode and the Old Town map, which I loved!
Honestly, the dedicated servers are incredible. Before the beta was open, I was thinking "surely it won't be this good"...I mean, there were under 1000 people playing, but now, with 20,000 on the servers, it is still incredible.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Thought I'd put this on here rather than start a new thread. Downloaded COD WAW for the PC over the weekend. Had it for a while on the XBOX. I can recall when devs used to put out post release patches for games, that might get up to 50Mb and stuff. To patch this fecker from release version to 1.7, around 8Gb of patches...
Feck me.

Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Can anyone give me a bit of advice on the xbox. I am buying a new one and I just need to know which ones have built in wireless on the Market at the moment, as some need a USB device or be hard wired through the Ethernet any advice appreciated thanks.
am i right or am i right?
Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Apparently you'll need to buy the wireless adapter separately. Even if you buy an Elite. I just use an Ethernet.

Go wired if at all possible!

Have to say I'm addicted now to Assassins Creed Brotherhood.
It's so, so much bigger than even the second. There's more variations in the side-quests too.
Having said that, I'm hoping to finish it this week and get cracking on battlefield2

I found wireless worked for a bit then all of a sudden would stop, start, go slow, then start again!

Re: The Official Xbox 360 Thread
Given that the XBOX isn't very static in our gaff, moving from room to room, wireless is the only option really. Long as I get a reasonable ping, it's fine. Don't tend to have a problem with it randomly dropping packets.BWFC_Insane wrote:Depends on your router I suppose!Worthy4England wrote:Hmmm not sure about that.
