The only time, absolutely only, I give to charities are in those tins on the bar/counter when you hand your cash over and get given change.
My local newsagent tells me his tins alone make over a hundred quid for each of four charities a year, the vast majority made up of 1 & 2p pieces.

You being a tight c*nt isn't a good enough reason to keep pointless coins!

We have the one cent in Canada (theoretically) but it can't be used as a coin. If you buy with a credit or debit card, or a cheque, it counts, but if you pay cash the amount is rounded up or down.

I don't bother with any of the coins here and stick to the notes (about a quid upwards). This isn't because I'm rich or flashy, it's because the only have Arabic on them and I can never remember which is which

I just chuck them all into a Mercier bucket when I'm getting changed, then, when there's a load in it I take them down to the Dog End Machine at Asda and weigh them in. There's usually around £200

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Hot tubs, and dicks who use them.
Just taken the shopping up to the house, passing what used to be our neighbour's until six months ago when she died.
Transformed into a 'holiday let', and now on a day of blizzard snows blown in on an east wind, there are about eight creatures bobbing up and down like fxcking seals at an icehole, stuck in what is basically a bath. I wouldn't mind particularly but apart from the squealing of the children, the screaming of the teenagers, and the loudmothness that carries for miles of the completely pissed adults, they've decided to enhance the 'experience' by playing a sound system at Glastonbury levels...
I'm severely tempted to drop them off a welcome warming present over the wall that separates us; a two-bar electric fire. I'll even plug it in for them.

That's what I do but my tub only holds about £40. 1p and 2p coins need to go.Bruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Mar 16, 2018 10:29 amI just chuck them all into a Mercier bucket when I'm getting changed, then, when there's a load in it I take them down to the Dog End Machine at Asda and weigh them in. Bloke walked up to me near the station yesterday and said/growled: "You got a pound. I'm starving and homeless" He was about 15 stone at least and the very epitome of "starving" (not) . I told him "no" and he shrugged and walked away puffing on his vape machine"???

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Going to take my missus nine hours to drive from Sussex to Derbyshire (seven hours in she's only managed to get to Toddington services).
Fxcking M25 is not fit for purpose.
Highways Agency reporting delays of up to ninety minutes and to 'allow plenty of time for your journey'. Complete tw@ts... They 'shut' the motorway with my missus stuck with no chance of moving off for five hours. And then it took another hour to crawl past the reopened section, only to hit peak rush hour and the pre-bank holiday stampede to Heathrow.

Re: Today I'm angry about.....
Took me five hours to drive to SE London on Monday, and six hours to get back yesterday. That was quite a chunk out of the past 48 hours.

The Aussie cheat trying to play for the sympathy votes by "crying" during his press conference.......
You cheated - and then lied about it to try and cover it up. You were sanding the cricket ball FFS. This isn't some minor thing. How many tests have they cheated for?
In my view they (those proven to be involved or aware) should never play international cricket again. You can't come back from something like this, I don't care who you are.

Of course. But they've been caught. And tried to cover it up through lies.TANGODANCER wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 4:11 pm"Let he who is without sin.." etc. Who really knows what goes on?BWFC_Insane wrote: ↑Thu Mar 29, 2018 3:48 pmThe Aussie cheat trying to play for the sympathy votes by "crying" during his press conference.......

I find it pretty disgusting, I cannot quite adequately voice why to me it feels a lot worse than many other forms of cheating, but it really does. The thought that you're so cynically gaining an advantage across an entire innings really feels incredibly wrong to me. To the point that it might not be rational, but I think they've gotten off far too lightly.

Oh good god it's funny though. Keep bursting out laughing to myself thinking about Warner. Couldn't have happened to a more deserving c*nt. Loving the digging out of his quotes about de Plessis.
Smith's performance today also a high.
Think the punishments are fair tbf, thought they'd be much less. See Lehman has finally gone too.
But yeah, again,

What's happened to BBC Television's 24 hour HD News Channel? It's disappeared.
One minute it was there, but now it's gone.

Nobody wants to see Corbyn, May, Putin, Trump, Juncker or Kim Jong-un in HD - they're bad enough in soft focusBruce Rioja wrote: ↑Fri Mar 30, 2018 7:34 pmWhat's happened to BBC Television's 24 hour HD News Channel? It's disappeared.
