^ I reckon they are all actors - and the man and the woman are both actually legless people with legged lookalikes - then the camera is turned on and off...

it's just clever camera trickery and didn't happen "live" with real people...

that's my theory anyway...

I know this because one of my mates is a former Director there and he told me that when they decided to use the '100% British Barley' tagline in a billboard campaign they received letters of complaint from people claiming that they didn't like the new taste of it. The taste of it, of course, hadn't changed one iota as they've always used British barley, they just thought that mentioning it might appeal to demographic the brand's typical consumer. Still, it's the company's policy to send anyone and everyone that writes in to complain about any of their products an explanatory letter and a free slab of ale, so there you go if you fancy a free drink. Personally I find it pretty much unpalatable, but I might just write in saying that for a party I bought cask of Pedi that turned out a little cloudy, you know, just to see how I get on like?! ;)
carling's ok, easy enough to drink .. not like the heineken shit with their 3% when the R.O.W had whatever % more .. small beer by stealth. but, it's all mass produced, so, i can take or leave it.

that whole story reminded me of that wheeze where folk'd put a box of After Eights near a furnace so it goes dull and brittle or whatever, write to 'em, then get 6 boxes back.... cheapskates.

Not actually many of them furnace thingies in general circulation...I suspect it'd be a fairly small payout group.

I see some kid (well, in his early 20's) in Mexico who suffers Asperger's has won the right to make his own life decisions. The legal panel considering this agreed 4:1 ... he thinks that is very important.

Some of the detail is breathtaking. Especially the orifices.
I sent to a friend (probably now just an acquaintance) who runs a confectionery business. So far she has ignored me.
It may have been the comment about 'getting her creative juices running' that crossed the line.

I'm with her though.

The electronics is now old hat ... truth is that the day I sit in hearing range of some fckg over-loud numbskull who decides to shout their way to Vienna telling his girlfriend that his wife doesn't know and that "we're taxiing now", "we're taking off now", "we're going into cloud now" ... etc., etc. will be the day I try and force the fckr through one of those ting little port-holes they call windows. It's bad enough on a train where there is some room.

Also, talking about those windows, apparently, the reason they want you to keep the blinds up at landing & take off is so that, in an incident, the rescue services can see if you're dead or not & so worth trying to save. ..... & you thought it was so you could see the sun !!

The reason for allocated seating and the request that you sit in it on take off and landing is for aiding body identification should there be a disaster.

the reason you have to wear a seatbelt is so that in the event of a crash at least your torso has a chance of being kept in one place - the place where all your major organs are - so that they can harvest them and sell them on the international body organs market and then destroy the torso, claiming it was never found... this is how all airlines make a profit. FACT.
