I'm not impressed with having to use Steam. Ever. Plus now we can't even uninstall once activation is complete. Not good, as Steam is one of the most invasive programs around. You can't tell what resources it uses too. What do you do if you lose your net connection and can't log in to Steam? You're knackered! Joke.

Agreed, this has "monumental cock-up" writ large.

Hate Steam with a passion, and realistically, someone will hack it and release a patch, so why bother pissing off people who would normally buy the bloody product. Took me about a month to get a legitimate version of 2010? (One before last) to work...

Had a go on the new Fifa. Like the new presentation, and the new? camera angle. Nice.

New defensive system is certainly a game changer and generally I think its a good idea. But boy will it take some mastering!

Still think they need to get more "randomness into the game". More deflections and ricochets. Players that are more unpredictable, goalkeeping errors, defensive errors, players leaving the ball behind.

But generally looks like another decent effort.

Dusted off the Kinect and downloaded the Gunstringer demo and Kinect labs to kill half an hour with the kids. Both really good use of the technology.

I'm already semi-addicted to FIFA Ultimate Teams and the game isn't even out!

They combined Merlin Premier League sticker books with Ebay.

With the FIFA I pre-ordered you get so many gold packs each month for 6 monts too so I'll at least maintain some interest.

A lot fewer, and I can't think of any completely game ruining ones. There was one FIFA where if you were Chelsea and got a freekick within 35 yards with Lampard, it was always a goal.

PES for grown ups.

Usually if you get advance viewing or playtesting, you have to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement...
