That smacks of snobbery Commie. If you mean I can't afford a David Hockney original, then you're right. (Not that I'd buy one even with the money) I'm down to Russell-Flint Calenders, home framed. Then again, a market place is hardly where you'd look for connoisseur art. Not sure why you choose to defend the closing of an institution after being so vociferous not long ago about Trinity Street Station?

Not snobbery TD, just a question of pespective. I doubt anyone on here is quite in the Hockney purchasing arena. But they aren't offering anything special or particularly well priced either on that stall.

No I defended the architecture of Trinity Street. There's a difference between a few stalls which offer little or nothing that either can't already be bought elsewhere or could relocate and pulling down a fine piece or architecture. And as I understand it, the integrity of the ironwork in the Market Place (it's one outstanding feature will remain).

Gutted on my occasional visits into Bolton town centre shopping I'll no longer be able to get a hot beef barm from cafe boulevard!!
