Don't hate any sports really. A lot of them are fun for those taking part and sheer torture for watching. I just turn off those with no interest. I'm with Commie on the extreme sports thing. People put their lives deliberately at risk to prove no particular point (except to themselves perhaps) and when one dies we hear what an absolutely splendid fellow he was. Yeah.
With no disrespect meant to our cousins over the pond, Baseball, American football and ice hockey get their channels changed right off, as does motor-racing and basketball. Then again, I like ice-dancing.

Anything that is a pub game sucks to watch on TV.

Basketball is too repetitive for me whilst American Football drags on way too long - I struggled to follow ice hockey when I first watched it as a kid but that's as far as I go in terms of American sports.
Equestrian and horse racing are pretty painful to watch I reckon, absolute nightmare that it dominates terrestrial TV on a Saturday.

Haha aye probably the last time i payed to see Bolton play like my ass thats when football pi**ed me off a bit, but its got to be cricketm, my word! The most boring sport ever and you cant move for it on telly or in the news. I dont know how people can slag Rugby though that is a propper lads game, no footballer (or any other sports person for that matter) would last 2 minutes. CRICKET .
But cricket is really good fun to play, and the 20-20 cricket is exciting.lancashire_hotpot wrote:Haha aye probably the last time i payed to see Bolton play like my ass thats when football pi**ed me off a bit, but its got to be cricketm, my word! I have to say when the test matches are on and its like England v New Zealand, it does bore me, I can't be arsed with it.
But rugby, especially in the winter, and they are running around like headless chickens in the mud it just looks so crap. And Rugby League is just as bad, I saw BBC coverage of Widnes v some jokers earlie this year and decided to try watch a bit of it. I gave up after about 30 seconds, it was just grim.

If you're put off by one bad game then there must be an entire generation of potential football fans who have been put off for life by watching ten minutes of Team AllardyceMich Caine wrote:And Rugby League is just as bad, I saw BBC coverage of Widnes v some jokers earlie this year and decided to try watch a bit of it. Aye your reet its ok to play but watching it is dyer. Rugby Union is a bit stop and start but League is beltin'. Its fast paced full of hard lads smashin' each other bits and a propper testosterone sport! Cant beat a bit o' Rugger when you've spent all week watchin Footballers roll around for nothing or tarts like LAMPARD demanding higher pay!Mich Caine wrote:But cricket is really good fun to play, and the 20-20 cricket is exciting.lancashire_hotpot wrote:Haha aye probably the last time i payed to see Bolton play like my ass thats when football pi**ed me off a bit, but its got to be cricketm, my word! No, I have watched bits and pieces of games in the past, you cannot escape the bloody game - its on BBC2, Skysports, etc but I just don't like it, and to be frank I have better things to do like vacuuming.Leyther_Matt wrote:If you're put off by one bad game then there must be an entire generation of potential football fans who have been put off for life by watching ten minutes of Team AllardyceMich Caine wrote:And Rugby League is just as bad, I saw BBC coverage of Widnes v some jokers earlie this year and decided to try watch a bit of it. Haha aye ill agree with that, part from the Superbowl part ... American Sport - Crap - End.Backgammon wrote:All american sports are sh#t. I can watch the superbowl, but that's it.
Sports that genrally get a lot of air time, that I can't stand watching, are Horse Racing, and any Marathon. I also agree with the whole extreme sports thing being a giant waste of time; sport my eye
