The Dark Materials Triology - Northern Lights, Subtitle Knife, and AMber Spy Glass.Raven wrote:Pullmans series that starts with the Golden Compass (forgot the name...lol) pees all over Potter

Batman I like your perverted dirty old man style
Was good until the last book, IMO then it was just far too biblical for my liking.
Fantasy Geek that I am, David Eddings the Belgriad series and the Malloerean series all 10 books in the correct order are superior to Mr Potter too.
Hell you just cannot beat LOTR in terms of fantasy literature

I'm really not open-minded enough for anything in the fantasy genre. It's probably a deficiency on my part, but I much prefer reading biographies etc.

Absolutely. I've only ever read one novel that I've found to be unputdownable (Get the OED people on the phone). Next time I'm due to see you, remind me in advance to lend you Garry Nelson's autobiography.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:I'm really not open-minded enough for anything in the fantasy genre. Well, it's at least as good as 'page-turner', which is nonsense on a couple of levels.Bruce Rioja wrote:Absolutely.
