Chris Moyles sinks to new lows..

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

i'm mostly a R5 and R4 (for the archers) man.... (pipe and slippers..)

I haven't listened to R1 since Mark and Lard were axed.

I have been known to stray onto R2 to hear Radcliffe & Marconie, and to catch Roland Rivron's "Jammin'" - occasionally in the car listen to ChillFM or 6-music

else - it's 5-live pretty much all day....
Wh..What he said^

Tim Shaw sacked by Kerrang Radio (more mindless than Moyles), so finally I can ditch the fat idiot and listen to the radio in a morning. Kate Lawlor switched to drivetime, and as Scott Mills has lost Laura of dirty bitch laugh fame, I can now say bye bye to Radio 1.

It's the little things that matter

Don't really see the problem with Moyles. He provides irreverant chatter with a little music. If you want serious news listen to Radio 4. If you want serious news with some lighthearted chatter listen to Radio 5. If you want music there are a lot of commercial stations out there.

Radio 2 if you want Wogan (why the feck anyone would is beyond me).

Moyles simply provides a station for those who want the occassional laugh, to hear some random stories from the team and general banter. Its the only program on Radio 1 I can ever listen to. Simply because they play so little of the mind numbingly shite music Radio 1 has to offer. Anyone who listened to Scott Mills ever really has problems. Christ listening to that shite really did make me feel like I'd had a full frontal lobotomy.

Aye, this thread feels like an AA meeting...

My names LK, and I listen to Radio 1 (cue muted applause and sympathetic "well dones")

I don't feel particularly strongly about Moyles, but I can't listen to him - I just assume that his is a different target audience to me.

Generally I flick between R1, R5 and XFM depending on my mood(with a seldom venture to R4 thrown in for the comedy). I don't particularly dilslike Moyles, though he is full of himself.

The one radio station I despise is Talksport. It frightens me that people with those kind of opinions are given jobs, and aren't locked up somewhere far away from society(Gaunty, if you're reading, never come near my town, ok?). And the listeners who phone in are likely to drive me to road rage in a morning, so I try to avoid....

AYE Lk I'm with you on Talksport. Its fooking frightening that people like that exist.

Like you it makes me angry to listen to such bigoted nonsense that regularly crops up on there.

Was getting a lift somewhere last week of someone who had it on and they were discussing foreigners in the premiership.

One presenter called Adrian I think had the gall to say "Its ok with big clubs buying as many foreigners as they like. Cos they'll be good ones. But smaller clubs bring a lot of rubbish foreign players in. Like Bowwwwwlton. They have signed a lot of completely rubbish foreigners".

Felt like rigning up and asking him, which ones in particular he meant.

World cup winner Djorkaeff?

Champions League winners Campo and Hierro?

Okocha?

I seriously doubt he could name one "poor" foreigner we'd brought in.

Made me angry.

Any radio station that has affiliations with Murdoch and often quote the Sun and the Times is frankly enough to make me avoid them. See, you've already raised my blood-pressure by repeating their idiocy. I can hear the voices in my head, I need a lie down....

That's why he says it.
His name is Adrian Durham. He is a Peterborough fan who started life as John Gaunts teaboy. His topics consist of Arsenal, are they all that? He is paid to be controversial, get people phoning in and then keep them waiting on the line for twenty minutes while they discuss something else, the weather traffic etc.

Then, when they deign to put you on air, if your opinion is put forward in a manner thaey can't contend, you are talked over and taken off. They really are a set of tits (not in a nice smooth, squashy way either)
