Well I was only 5 or 6.
Soon as you got a bit older, it wore thin fairly quickly.
I think Norm was the original blue print for Bean.
Edit and frank Spencer.

Think Mr Wisdom was a Brighton fan ( according to his Wiki ) might have had a soft spot for the Wanderers though as he was in the stands watching us in the 2005 Isle Of Man tournament. I'm sure a few peeps on here had there photo's taken with him.
If I should die, think only this of me:
That there's some corner of a foreign field
That is for ever England

I remember watching the very first Mr Bean, thinking - you've killed Blackadder off for this absolute shite?!BWFC_Insane wrote:Bit like Mr Bean then!Worthy4England wrote:I'm pretty much in this camp. Indeed I did the same. I know kids like it, but it did seem a terrible terrible waste.Bruce Rioja wrote:I remember watching the very first Mr Bean, thinking - you've killed Blackadder off for this absolute shite?!BWFC_Insane wrote:Bit like Mr Bean then!Worthy4England wrote:I'm pretty much in this camp. Norman Wisdom was slapstick/slip on a banana skin, comedy. As has been mentioned quite a few times, as kids, funny, later, not. Slapstick is only seen in circus clowns these days. NW was a product of his times who never moved on. A real one-trick-pony, harmless, but as comediens go, way behind the times.
