It's still utterly incomprehensible to me why the Oz would have any issue with Broad at all. The Oz are famous and legendary for their don't walk until the umpire gives it approach to the game...

Their players have backed his decision, while continuing to stoke it up naturally.
I think it's cricket traditionalists on both sides who have an issue with it.

Great first day, lets just hope we don't get bowled out for 79.

Apparently it's on Pick TV on Freeview. Not sure of the time or channel number though.

Edit: 10pm on Ch10.

thebish is probably watching it as I type.

Traditionalist don't as a rule 'boo' a player, Lever End. I would suggest that the perpetrators are boozed up yobbos. It's cringe-worthy behaviour and shouldn't be used even in fun.

Another capitulation by Australia's top order batsmen. If they keep on relying on the wicket keeper and a motley crew of bowlers to scratch together a half decent score then a session of serious navel gazing is in order. Congratulations to Brad and Mitch for their efforts in reducing the inevitable first innings lead that England will gain. I don't know Broad's secret but he surely has the measure of the Aussie batsmen. His display yesterday was superb. The fielding was pretty smart too.

The local media are talking up the situation but, to honest, it's all desperation stuff. Of course we won't know until England takes the crease. If the commentators are correct in their assessment of the wicket then I think that 450 (or more) would be a realistic target for England.

Os did better than I expected at the end and we are 61-2 - not that great. :(

They're already doing that. The question was seriously asked on 5live this morning and the answer was that 'some weather is moving in for tomorrow.' Sheesh!
