...great show, too. Will watch next week.

Spotted that too. Yep, the 1973 thing hit me right between the eyes on this programme. Big era for me.

Indeed I half expect to see myself in the next few weeks - skinny as a pencil; wearing flares, denim jacket with "YES" stitched on it - going into Derek Guest's & nicking ex-Juke Box singles with the centres poked out before getting on the 33 or 35 to Horwich ... or the 126 if I could be arsed walking to Moor Lane.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

If you're on digital, Virgin Media have just launched their own version of Sky+. Only a tenner a month too and no upfront installation fee.

Bargain.

Err no, im stuck in the dark ages - I get 4 channels and thats it (not that I want channel 5). Do these digiboxes work in shitty reception areas?

Nope. Poor analogue reception = poor digital reception.

Only difference is that with a poor analogue you can get a picture, albeit snowy & grainy. With digital it goes all blocky, stops & starts or shows a sign saying "no reception".

Depends. I could only get 4 channels but took a chance and can now watch Channel 5 in all its glory, i.e. documentaries about the Nazis.

Bizarrely I can't get Film Four but I can get Film Four+1 - although my box thinks it's Quiz Call.

You could always borrow a Freeview box from someone and give it a try.
