International Commentary 'errors' and downright f*ck ups
Moderator: Zulus Thousand of em
The standard of commentary in Spain has left me shell-shocked. My favourite last night was the man screaming Ronaldinho's name for several seconds after he'd lost the ball. Other than that, there's been a healthy strand of racism towards the African teams, especially those playing against Spanish-speaking nations.
Drury: It'll be difficult to pick a man of the match today. Spain must be one of the best teams we've seen. Ivory Coast, Argentina and most of all the Czech's are the other teams that have impressed so far, but I wonder, even if they're not quite as good as the Czech team, might Spain be the best European team we've seen?

And another thing.
Alan Green - we all know he's a tool of the highest order. But here's more proof.
On 6-0-6, the following two quotes came out of his oversized gob within minutes of each other:-
- My role is simply to provide an objective viewpoint.
- I thought England played badly. That's my opinion, and I'm sticking to it.
Cock.

God, this winds me up. No it isn't, it's to let the listener know what's going on on the pitch. It's the objective viewpoint of players and managers that we want, not some prick from Ulster whose opinion is no more valid or relevant than that of the rest of us.Winter Hill White wrote:- My role is simply to provide an objective viewpoint.

This may have already been pointed out (if so then I offer my apologies), but apparently Jon Champion's recent assertions that Jaidi was the first Bolton player to score in the World Cup Finals was not all that......
