You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Or one of those 'I live here' stickers people have in their front windows when they keep Rottweilers or Staffordshire Bull Terriers. Except they'll have a picture of Ferguson or Rab C. Nesbitt.

It is one of my favourite places. Watching QT last night and frankly the SNP guy made an independent Scotland sound a whole lot more appealing to me than any of the English politicians managed to about the UK in general.

Indeed. I usually holiday on the Hebrides. Watched something on the news last night and it was basically saying that Johnny Englander (Especially DC) showing up in Scotland and telling them they're better off as part of the union is actually having the reverse effect.BWFC_Insane wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:Beware - Shithole.BWFC_Insane wrote:I'm moving to Scotland......![]()

The main argument that seems to hold weight in Scotland for the yes campaign is "never again be ruled by a Tory government".Bruce Rioja wrote:Indeed. I usually holiday on the Hebrides. As much as it is poor and negative campaigning and as much as I'd prefer to maintain the Union I can see why it is a very appealing argument up there. And of course Cameron going will do more harm than good. He is the very epitomy of everything the yes campaign up there are using to make their argument. English toff, career politician, privately educated millionaire running the country from London, not bothering to debate with the Scottish Leader.....it just plays into their hands.
I'm worried that the circumstances are all coming together for the vote in Scotland to be very close indeed.
Re: You take the high road...
Yeah, I think it'll be close, but I think 'No' will win. People don't like change unless a positive clear case for why they should change is made. As convincing as 'no more Tories' is up there, I'm not sure that's enough.

Agreed, but we're at the point where one event before September could easily tip the scales.Prufrock wrote:Yeah, I think it'll be close, but I think 'No' will win. England win the world cup and the Scots realise quite how much they hate us!

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
