Shame they allowed that extra 50 or so to be added.TANGODANCER wrote:England 62-0 at close and a nice day's work.
Booooooooo
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Just watched the day's highlights on Channel 5. Brilliant overall result despite Dhoni. (All credit to him because he's one of the few fighting). Some cracking bowling.

Cook gone for 79 after using up a few lives. 197-2 and match time....Oh, make that 201 for 3 as Balance goes for a handy 64.

385-7 at close of play. Tidy day's play from the home boys. Bit of a wobble (the man said) but totally in control. A 237 lead with three in hand. Looking good.

Cook back to some kind of form - root progressing very nicely - Ballance on fire... woakes and jordan starting to chip in the wickets... moeen surprising everyone.. broad and anderson showing renewed confidence...

419-8 and Root with a magnificent ton. I'm thinking we'll get about 450 (if we reach it) and declare.

Re: creeeeeeeekeeeeeet
Seems I was wrong about not turning the screw when in front....we don't do it all the time, but....
"This innings will be forgotten in time, because England will win at a canter, but it has been a masterclass in how to seize an initiative and then ram it home. England have scored 92 runs from 10 overs this morning,"
