P1ss off with your logical line of thinking, Prufrock - that's not what this thread is about.

This thread is about what I say it's about, since I started it, I'm terribly sorry if I gave the impression it was a democracy

It's an employment thing: Keeps the Prufrock-type thinkers in work. Government make new departments for inventing politically correct names, sign makers set up to make the plates and council workers go on overtime fitting them. Good government obviously. Tradition has no place in the new English way of life. "The New Churchgate Pasty Establishment" anyone

I want to stop at Forton Services, not Lancaster Services. "London Gateway Services"? F*ck off - it's Scratchwood Services.

Strangeways isn't allowed any more - it's HMP Manchester. "HMP Manchester, Here We Come" doesn't quite have the same Smithsonian ring to it, does it?
And no longer can you scale the wall at Parkhurst - you have to escape from HMP Isle of Wight.

What does it achieve? Changing the perfectly acceptable "Anderton" to "Bolton West" doesn't make it any less of a sh1thole. I'm not more or less likely to need to stop for a slash because it's called "Northampton Services" rather then "Rothersthorpe". I'm not suddenly going to stop nicking stuff from the Bullring because I'll be locked up in HMP Birmingham rather than Winson Green.

That's all.
Yes yes and thrice yes. I can't have imagined that Salford Central station now has Manchester somewhere in the title, have I? Is this for the hard of understanding? How long is it before we have Bolton (near Manchester innit) station?
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

I'm pretty sure you've imagined that, LK.

Adverts between programmes for stuff on in the future I can deal with, adverts between programmes for what is on next drive me nuts, you're advertising what is on next, but if you weren't advertising it, it would be on NOW, and I could see that it was on, without wasting my time your time and every f*cker involveds time. A programme telling me what is on next right in the middle of what is on now is beyond stupid. Even if I did want to watch it, it'd be pointless, coz as soon as any good bits came on, you'd start telling me what came after them.

Today I am angry about:
1) The idiot roller skater on the pavement when I went for my dinner just now. He was roller-skating backwards, doing some sort of "Ooh, look at me, I'm dancing" thing. F*ck off. If I want to watch children being idiots, I'll, I don't know, hang out in some area with high knife crime and watch them stab each other. And expecting others to move out of the way for him, because he was going backwards and couldn't see them is particularly c*ntish.

2) Children in general. Little bastards. Why can't they be packed in boxes and not let out until they're in their, I don't know, mid-twenties? Eh? If any political party offers a solution to the Child Problem, they have my vote.

3) Things. By which I mean situations, mostly, but some objects, too.

4) People. Most of them, anyway. I've included all of them, because I'd rather accuse some unfairly than let any get away.

5) The pain in my neck. A literal pain in the neck. Meaning I can't move my head to the right very far. I'm currently hoping it's meningitis, because that would be a blessed end to this misery of existence.

haha yep, though in fairness I was ranting about it as an example of them doing it over everything, so I'm not counting myself amongst that lot :D

Depression is what we mortals get. It is an awful, debilitating illness.

The 'celebs' who suffer from 'depression' and, laughably, 'exhaustion' can generally be cured by a stroke of the ego.

Maybe it's the just the fact that I'm stuck in work, waiting for folk to finish, before I can knack off, but that amused me.

Have a small round of applause. But don't let it go to your head...
