Was listening to Zane Lowe's show on the way home and he was doing some sort of Pearl Jam special. It was good. Ive never been a huge fan of Pearl Jam but they've got quite a lot of good songs. Might give them another try.
Also this Bat for Lashes woman who sounds a bit like a gothic Fleetwood Mac/Kate Bush mix, anybody heard any albums by her? Recommended? I like that current song - Daniel I think its called.

As an aside, the band's name comes from the lead singer, Eddie Vedder's, grandma (Pearl) who used to make Jam. Honestly.
"You're Gemini, and I don't know which one I like the most!"
Pearl Jam are amazing, Ten is a great album but it's the one I listen to the least. Here's my favourites in order of preference:
Yield, Vs, Vitalogy, Riot Act, No Code, Binaural, Ten, Pearl Jam.
Superb band who are now helped out by one of my favourite drummers - Matt Cameron formerly of Soundgarden. Sensational.
Does anybody have Friday Night in San Francisco by John McLaughlin, Al DiMeola and Paco DeLucia?
It's pretty much the best thing ever.

Good:
The Seal Cub Clubbing Club. Uncouth name, bloody good band though. Quite Radioheady at times, especially in the first track, but the second track is quite the bouncy ol' tune.

Bad:
La Roux. F*cking dogturd. How these got a contract I don't know. At times actually hurts my ears, and it sounds like someone is trying to play 'Are You Ready For The Floor' on a casio keyboard designed for a 4 year old.

At the risk of alienating many on this site:
Gershwin: Rhapsody in Blue (Pittsburgh S.O.)
Verdi: Va, pensiero, sull'ali dorate (Dresden S.O. & Dresden State Opera Chorus)
Mozart: Der Holle Rache (Dresden S.O. with Luciana Serra)
Borodin: Polovitsian Dances (Bavarian Radio Symphony and Bavarian Radio Chorus)
Beethoven: Scherzo - from Cello Sonata No.3 (Richter - pianist and Rostropovich - cello)
Bach J.S.: Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring - from Cantata BWV 147 (John Longhurst at the Mormon Tabernacle Organ)
Vivaldi: Concerto in F minor, Op 8 No 4 "Winter" - from The Four Seasons (Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields)
Beethoven: Fur Elise (Alfred Brendel pianist)
An interesting collection produced by Philips on C.D. (420 643-2)
Perhaps I was in a mellow mood as I hadn't dragged out this one for ages. Nevertheless, mood or otherwise, I enjoyed it once again and slept well.

Friday night and all's well with the world. A nice mellow selection of Gleen Miller classics right now, Moonlight Serenade, Starlight, American Patrol, Tuxedo Junction, In The Mood, St Louis Blues etc etc. Having a root around youtube for favourite stuff. Content enough (even if I am the only one playing out on here)
Add a touch of musical genius from JSB to that.
