It's not. I did the 3k run with my daughter as a warm up. They also had a 1m walk for the fag hags and pram pushers.

Not yet. She dabbles more to humour me I think. She does lots of other stuff to keep her active though with swimming, gymnastics, dance etc.

That 'pensioner' is a 63 year old sub 45 minute 10k runner. He's been running for donkeys years. First time I've beaten him (and a few others) on this course.
There's some bloody fast old gimmers out there!
