Yeah they were shite. Even the coach couldn't be arsed with it. Putting a woefully out of form Bopara at 3 was just fooking daft.

I had to chuckle when I saw in the paper this morning that Australia is third bottom on the world rankings for T20 - equal with Ireland and above Zimbabwe. Whilst I was aware that the Aussies are no good at the twenty over game, that really brought it home.

Did they give Coyle a go or summat? Don't really follow the county game but champions to relegation within a season really wants some doing. :conf:

Usual probmem for Lancs ... & maybe why it took them 77 years to win it till last year, the weather.

I'm not sure they actually completed any full 4 day matches.

... you know though, I'd take it. After 77 years last year was so good & you do know they'll return, it being a league of ony 9 teams or so.

Harry Pilling, cricket's answer to the Clitheroe Kid, had passed away today.

What great memories for we oldies.

RIP little 'un

He could have been in three and anyway, I don't think he held down his place for long.

While it was an invitational XI there was no qualification through residency so, if you're referring to Sir Clive, he wasn't eligible. I think Wood got a few games though.

First name on the teamsheet was always Derek Randall.

Ah, not a Lancashire team then !! My bad.

David Lloyd ... opener with Barry Wood for abot 28 years. Now a commentator & writer. Known as 'Bumble'.

Nope. Never heard of him. Not even if you'd said he was the former England cricket coach and voice of ING Direct bank.

He's not that well known.

I can recall a commentator once announcing Graham Lloyd as being the son of Clive...

Fairwell to Harry, great memories of being the Gillette Cup Kings...
