Sad to hear of the premature death of Terry Nutkins. Grew up watching 'The really wild show' in late 80's/early 90's

Phoned the rescue lady up and we are going to meet up next week to talk about what they have that might be suitable!
FWIW - I think it would be madness to introduce 2 new dogs in a house the size of yours with kids the age yours are...

You either know the answer to a question or you don't, so not demeaning, but I had to laugh aloud when a young fella in his twenties was asked on Pointless tonight, the name of Henry the Eighth's ship that was dicovered in the Solent in 1971.
He answered..."The Jolly Roger"..

TBH Tango, I can't remember offhand whether it was the Margaret Rose or the Mary Rose - I would have gone with the latter as I think the former is the Queen's late sister. But if I had no clue, the Jolly Roger is as good as anything.TANGODANCER wrote:You either know the answer to a question or you don't, so not demeaning, but I had to laugh aloud when a young fella in his twenties was asked on Pointless tonight, the name of Henry the Eighth's ship that was dicovered in the Solent in 1971.

I got all the boats apart from the Endeavor!
Funniest Pointless was a couple of weeks ago with 2 young lasses on it and one didn't have a clue and her partner behind her kept giving her looks that would kill

My dog (proper 57) had his anal glands emptied once and yes the smell is something to behold!!

I remember that. She was far from amused when they got booted out.Raven wrote:I got all the boats apart from the Endeavor!

I knew all the ships from model building and history ( I've built Endeavour) but I'd be clueless on some of the questions asked. "Name Jack Black's films" for example. I don't even know who Jack Black is.

I first came across him in a hidden scene in my DVD of Fellowship of the Ring - which was pretty funny.TANGODANCER wrote:I remember that. She was far from amused when they got booted out.Raven wrote:I got all the boats apart from the Endeavor!

Erm, denim knee length cut off shorts, a red super dry t-shirt and flip flops. Did have my hair in a pony tail from work earlier, perhaps that's why. To be fair, the woman that said it was at least 80 so probably even Bobo would have been classed as a 'nice young man'

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
