I expect Bruce is already on the case - rifling through his online collection of houses owned by hypocritical socialists.Lord Kangana wrote:I think the world is a lesser place for his passing.
I await The Sun revelation that he actually lived in a house (with accompanying picture of a house to illustrate the point, in case we missed it) and therefore couldn't have held the views he did.

Never liked the bloke's politics, in my mind he was one of the 'commies' hell bent on ruling us all, one of the 'bruvvers', a thinking fat controller type, dangerous.
Sorry for his family over their loss, no doubt he will be badly missed by them.

I'm just happy that Malcolm Bradbury once described him as being "The Bertie Wooster of Marxism"William the White wrote:I expect Bruce is already on the case - rifling through his online collection of houses owned by hypocritical socialists.Lord Kangana wrote:I think the world is a lesser place for his passing.

A term of endearment. Bradbury much closer to Wooster than Marx.Bruce Rioja wrote:I'm just happy that Malcolm Bradbury once described him as being "The Bertie Wooster of Marxism"William the White wrote:I expect Bruce is already on the case - rifling through his online collection of houses owned by hypocritical socialists.Lord Kangana wrote:I think the world is a lesser place for his passing.

Thinking this through, if all Socialists have big houses, sounds like the way to go.William the White wrote:That Holland Park Comprehensive he sent his kids to was the poshest school in London.Worthy4England wrote:His house in Holland Park had a roof and windows...could be trouble over this.William the White wrote:I expect Bruce is already on the case - rifling through his online collection of houses owned by hypocritical socialists.Lord Kangana wrote:I think the world is a lesser place for his passing.

Yeah, but I draw the line at them driving six series Beemers as well. They're just taking the piss at that point.Worthy4England wrote:

Re: This weeks RIP's........
Just read some stuff that Danny Baker has had to say about Rooney - By 1972 Mickey Rooney - no 1 box office ★ of 30s/40s - was earning $75 a time as "professional party guest" Thats Entertainment rescued him. Rooney - who kept MGM afloat - was so skint when he got the call for Thats Entertainment he had to borrow the blazer he wears.

An amazing life .. married 8 times he was bankrupted by the incessant settlements and alimony. Yet he went on to say "... and I'd marry each one again!".
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

I was just thinking exactly that. A man that's done so much good has to live with so much pain. The poor sod. RIP Peaches.jonnycooper wrote:Poor Bob Geldof! !! How much grief has that man had to endure? RIP Peaches...x

Re: This weeks RIP's........
I think the loss of a child is every parent's living nightmare. I have seen this happen to two couples who are/were (since one couple are now dead - in one sense of a broken heart) both very close friends. It marked - scarred - their lives from then on. Scars are a sign of healing. The skin is blemished but healed.
The number of premature deaths in this family is ghastly. And must be close to unbearable.
May those living find ways to endure. May they find a way to heal.
