Captain Cook's return to Australia's been less successful than the first time.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

I don't think that the uncertainty about Andy Flower continuing helped.
Central contracts have meant a bias to the same players playing all the time, eventually teams will suss out players who play all the time.
Oz is a tough place to go, never mind for tired old bones. The team certainly has a few of them.
Just as I am typing this Harris has taken Pietersen. Now 17-4.

If it makes you feel better, jaffka, ignore Anderson's wicket and think of it as 17-3.

Some sporting incidents can get my blood boiling and irate but not this. We are being outclassed and these overpaid big headed lot need a lesson teaching to them.Dujon wrote:If it makes you feel better, jaffka, ignore Anderson's wicket and think of it as 17-3.
Be interesting to see how Oz go on in South Africa...

Oh well, Lancashire's Jimmy Anderson is top scorer at the moment.

Tom Fordyce, Chief sports writer at the SCG
"England supporters now at the stage when even gallows humours has lost its meagre comforts.
The Sydney Museum of Contemporary Art is currently running a Yoko One retrospective; if given the choice between enduring a day of Yoko's contribution to the Double Fantasy LP and England's contribution to the Ashes .... you might find more votes from the travelling support for Ono .... ."

Fear not, Barmy Army, this partnership is approaching the best so far.
Whoops! Just missed.

Can you ask for the extra half hour, before the morning drinks break in the first innings?

If you can, I think England will.Worthy4England wrote:Can you ask for the extra half hour, before the morning drinks break in the first innings?
It looks like they don't want to be there.
Re: Winter ashes...
In fairness to them and I am now trying, it cannot be much fun being away from home over Christmas. Especially for so long.
I have toured a few times through rugby but nothing like the cricketers have to.
Still they should be doing much better than what they are, the tests haven't even been even close. There is something seriously wrong in the camp when our batting scores are so consistently low.

Not buying that one Jaffka. It sorta comes with the territory under the job description "international cricketer"...Didn't hamper them last time in Aus.

Neither am I really, like I said, I am really tryingWorthy4England wrote:Not buying that one Jaffka. It sorta comes with the territory under the job description "international cricketer"...Didn't hamper them last time in Aus.
Something is wrong in the camp clearly. Trott who roughly gets a hundred every three tests is a massive loss. Swann alluded to problems without mentioning any names. I really think Pietersen is causing problems and Flowers being uncertain about carrying on hasn't helped.

Who knows it will eventually come out. Teams that aren't coherent are never pleasant places when losing.
