Where are you going tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Aye, I know. I've seen Counting Crows play everywhere from arenas down to Edinburgh Corn Exchange. If ever a band and a venue were absolutely perfect for one and other, this is it, I promise.

As soon as I saw this I got a-looking. To watch them at the Hammersmith Apollo they want forty-fecking-three quid. Each!

been to a couple of the pre-runs at a bar on Gt Portland St. but last night we went to the proper recording of 'Live at The Electric' at the BBC. Was an interesting enough, being at the BBC n'that and observing the ins and outs of producing a tv show, but my word the show is going to be spectacularly shit. they said we were there for two shows worth of acts/sketches, we were sat there 4hrs! 4hrs in a cramped seat pretending to laugh at unfunny shite and clapping on cue isnt much fun.

And once you've seen them you'll know why - so get to it ;)

Seriously, I've always maintained that I'm happy to pay more to watch them play that size of venue, they're absolutely made for it.

I'm tempted to offer you a money-back guarantee.

Went to the pool last night for our league's singles' KO opening rounds. Won the first one despite playing like a chump for the first two frames, before dishing and winning 2-1. Second round I actually played a hell of a lot better, and we went into a deciding frame. He nearly cleared up off the break but missed a simple black, leaving me to clear up to win...and I fecking twitched on the first shot! :( annoyed with that as it was a relatively good chance, but hey, you live and learn :)

Encouragingly though I played frames with a few players at county/region level and managed to hold my own, so I'm happy that hopefully in a few months time with some practice under my belt I can get up there.

Good, well we can cross that off the list of pub games I'll be playing you for money.

:D

I will teach you. Pool at league level and above is very tactical, as the set rules allow for all sorts of tactical tricks - you can foul deliberately, for instance. There was a guy last night who was basically the Stoke City of pool - just fouled and fouled his way to a better position. It's rare it's done as often as that but can completely change the dynamic of a frame.

I'm up for it, it's finding somebody else willing to shell out that much to go with. I've floated it Dorris' way and she wasn't too keen. How quickly do you reckon it'll sell-out? I was hoping at that price I'd have some wiggle room to persuade folk.

They're on general sale from this Friday. Pretty sure they won't sell out in hours, or owt, but it will sell out, I'm sure.

Not now, but Copenhagen in March. Long weekend.

Anything worth seeing?

That's a bit unfair on Stig Tofting. Don't say that to his face, either.

It's a real disappointment, Spotto.

If you're feeling fairly flushed, Kinte Kunta, then I can't recommend the Nørrebro Bryghus heartily enough.

Yep, it's not great is it.
If it's your first time there I can recommend the Dorling Kindersley guide - it's very good for an orientation guide and to get where you'd like to go.
