Definitely. Perhaps just after they've had the bust-up with Boromir but before they bump into Gollum.Montreal Wanderer wrote:Gets my vote, LGM (although before they got to Mordor I think).Little Green Man wrote:Well I saw Sam and Frodo taking the One Ring to the Cracks of Doom in Mordor.Dujon wrote:That's a lovely photograph, GG. Re: Today I'm happy about......
Sam? Frodo? Boromir? Gollum? Tolkien I guess.
I read The Hobbit - There and Back Again many decades ago; so far back that I can't remember exactly when. Perhaps it was Tolkien's writing style or maybe my mood at the time but, either way, it didn't impress me and I've avoided his writings ever since.
It's OK, GG, the photograph is still lovely.

Oh, leave 'em Gary. It's not cool to admit you like it as it was far too popular.Gary the Enfield wrote:Balls to the both of you. Anyway, Bolton only got mentioned because it was a palindrome of Ipswich.
Barry fecking Knight was to blame.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

My Holidays start in 4 hours time (3 hours and 57 minutes to be exact... not that I'm counting or anything). Off down to Cornwall where the bells don't ring.
That's not a leopard!

Cheers. I'm taking some proper beer with me, just in case. (Although, to be honest, I'm expecting some good local stuff and will be highly shocked if it isn't legendary. St Austell's was grand even in the days of Big Brewerydom).thebish wrote:Lost Leopard Spot wrote:My Holidays start in 4 hours time (3 hours and 57 minutes to be exact... not that I'm counting or anything).
