Neighbours are having a baby. due in a couple of months, and they've decided not to find out if it's a boy or a girl until the birth. (which is fine). But however. They've been picking names for wee sproglet and (although it's changed about quite a lot) the current champions are Nigella if it's a girl and Tarquin if it's a boy. That's just wrong. Especially as last week it was Ellie and Henry - proper names.

Reminds me of a conversation I had at the weekend with a friend of mine. A mutual aquaintance has two children. The boy is called Rafe (fair enough) and the girl is called Coco. Apparently it's after Coco Chanel but all I could think of was Bobo's brother. :D

 Bohemia!

I went to school with a Carlton. And a childhood neighbour was a Hartley. And one of my sponsors for a half-marathon is an Epiphany. But Bohemia. How old is she, we should arrange a marriage with Tarquin.

Thing is, they also have a son called Joshua, so why the girl copped for that one I've no idea. She'll probably be about 15 now (my cousin and I are estranged).

At least they spelled it how it's said, rather that Ralph. I presume you're okay with Coco then? :conf:

No. But I'd rather be called Coco than Rafe! Neither are proper names like.

I reckon they've just called her that cos they're dead competitive parents.

At sports day when some other kid is winning...

Parents "Booooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo"

Teacher "Excuse me, thats not the attitude we want"

"Parents "Booooooooooooo come over here for a photo....."

She's still wondering why all the Bolton fans shout her name after each game at the moment...!
