Funny how those old bints you ignored when in your teens now seem to be well worth watching. (not the very same people, of course, this is the principle I'm talking about).
I went to my son's graduation a while back & found ogling the mothers far more entertaining than the female graduates.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.
"I understand you are a very good footballer" ... "I try".

I used to dream of being taken in hand (fnar fnar) by an older, experienced woman. I still look at some women and think that, before remembering that i'm probably older than them all. The problem now is most of the older ones are well, old!

Not tonight, but tomorrow, it's Two Gentlemen of Verona in a touring production showing at the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster. Another I've never seen before. The list to see the complete works in live performance gets shorter and shorter...

A great night out... a lovely production of a (minor) Shakespeare, with the actors really giving it all they've got... with real skill, understanding and commitment...William the White wrote:Not tonight, but tomorrow, it's Two Gentlemen of Verona in a touring production showing at the Dukes Theatre in Lancaster. They act, they sing, they dance, they do not short change the audience by half a penny...
The play has rock solid characterisation, some great poetry, a lot of laughter and, as usual the shock of discovering the origins of some phrases and sayings that have become commonplace - in this play 'making a virtue out of necessity', and mixing triumph and disaster...
The plot is weak, and the structure uncertain - it looks like an early piece to me... But we really enjoyed...

Running tomorrow and Sunday am so no beer.
One or maybe two glasses of wine on Sunday evening.
Fancy a swap?

Oh blimey. I've only just seen this so I've already missed last night's swim and this morning's run. Otherwise I would have.Gary the Enfield wrote:Bruce Rioja wrote:Down to a mates for his 40th tonight = Skinfull

Oh result. I've just been asked if I can look after our Chinese and American visitors tomorrow afternoon and evening. Of course I can. So that's a traipse round Bolton Abbey in the afternoon followed by dinner at The Inn at Whitewell!

I know the club encourage fans to get in their seats early but that's taking it a bit far, isn't it?Annoyed Grunt wrote:Currently at the Reebok, my lads 9th birthday party...

Ah, but I have to do a real job in order to secure the perks in the first place, Bish.thebish wrote:y'see - there are times when you try to suggest that my job is not a real job! we have this today - and your stories of quaffing expensive beer on someone else's tab whilst "working" on the continent!! pull the other one bruce!!Bruce Rioja wrote:Oh result. After a gap last season we have just bought our gold season tickets for the Octagon again. Looks a really strong line up and am looking forward to it very much.

As a frog speaker I'm looking forward to Piaf. The Rise and Fall of Little Voice was the last one I saw, fantastic.clapton is god wrote:After a gap last season we have just bought our gold season tickets for the Octagon again. Looks a really strong line up and am looking forward to it very much.
