Twickenham !! You'll find it a tiny bit different to Farnworth.Verbal wrote:Got a reporter's job* in London**
*well it's a trial week starting on the 6th with a view to permanent employment. I'll be working with my old classmate whose job I am taking over as he is leaving. Essentially if I don't kill anybody or get them sued I should be alright.
**Twickenham, which is idk if you would class as London really.
But still
Good luck with it.
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Aye, he'll miss all the tattoo parlours, false nail emporiums and suntan salons. Oh, and don't forget the hairdressers, pound shops and cash converters. He'll surely miss all that.bobo the clown wrote:Twickenham !! You'll find it a tiny bit different to Farnworth.Good luck with it.Verbal wrote:Got a reporter's job* in London**

To be fair he's only a Cock's stride from Feltham, which pretty much caters for all that.

Good luck, Verbal.

Re: Today I'm happy about......
More relieved then happy. Am on holiday (in the same county as I live but we won't go there...) with Mr GG, the baby gooners and Mr GG's family. Anyway, my little boy had his first cold and it developed into a nasty cough, and then today developed into him rasping for breath. First time either of the twins have been ill and the doc refers us to hospital! So went to Chichester hospital this evening with him and it sounds worse then it is thankfully. Nice young doctor listened to his chest whilst my fraud of a son suddenly felt well enough to stop coughing and grinned away at him, looking a picture of health, sure he probably thought I was a neurotic mum but I did get referred and it was very scary, glad he's gonna be ok. I had visions of all kinds of terrible things...

Babies catch between 8 and 10 colds a year in their first two years so you've done quite well considering. And don't worry about them thinking you're a neurotic mum. You've done the right thing by taking him to the Doctor. Besides, it's a different PCT and they'll never trace you.

Today I am happy about the fact I am just about to get in the shower. Ours is broken at home and as much as I love my baths a shower is rather a nice treat. Plus it conveniently means I cant hear the baby gooners if they wake so Mr GG will have to get them up

Very nice. I think that this is the first time I've seen puffins, razorbills and guillemots mentioned in a sentence that doesn't include 'oil slick'.thebish wrote:had a fab day out on Skomer Island photographing puffins, razorbills and guillemots...

We are a Granddad.....again! My daughter delivered Max at 3am today, nine days after her expected date. Max is 9lb in weight and baby and mum both fine. Phew, that was a stressful few days for all concerned.
