Now I don't know if they were looters in the car (though it deosn't seem to fit the general MO), but my guess is that a large group of asians were gathered on a street corner with the purpose of protecting their neighbourhood, someone drives through and mistakes them for an angry mob, panics and plows through three of them trying to get away.

In case anyone mistakes this post for an excuse to burn and loot, please feel reassured that it isn't.

I live in a small village about 45 minutes by train away from London, the most that goes on here is the odd bit of sheep stealing and people getting road rage from being stuck behind a tractor. The village newsletters most pressing issue is what colour crocuses to plant in the High Street next year and the vast majority of shops are clothing for posh ladies of a certain age. Reckon Lindfield is pretty safe from rioting and looters.
