You snogged the Granny?Gary the Enfield wrote:LeverEnd wrote:My mate is recording, phographing and cataloguing them all so I'll send you the pic.bobo the clown wrote:I knew several of them, longer ago than I care to think about.
If the Packhorse is my old local it's 2miles north of the city centre. Not the greatest pub but it was MY not the greatest pub..
We were reminiscing about a similar crawl in 98 which ended in Yates', where I pulled an nice young lady from Bradford and he snogged her Mum. Classic night.
Ooooof!
I have a tale to tell about that but I was much more selfish.

And we all like a nice smooth gummy, dentures grinning at you from a glass on the bedside table!
And at plumbing CH!

I was supposed to be at the recording of Celebrity Mastermind on Wednesday, but was away so couldn't go. The one and only time that I've ever managed to score tickets too.General Mannerheim wrote:off to see em record Family Fortunes.

Did you 'do' them both, you dirty bugger? I'm not jealous in the slightest if you did. Oh no!Gary the Enfield wrote:LeverEnd wrote:My mate is recording, phographing and cataloguing them all so I'll send you the pic.bobo the clown wrote:I knew several of them, longer ago than I care to think about.

Once went to see Have I Got News For You in the late 90s. Enjoyed it but one of the guests was Paul Daniels who tried to be edgy just came across as a total bellend. It's the only thing I've ever been to like that. mate got tickets on a radio phone-in. I was surprised how much they actually record to cut down to a 30 minute show, must've been 90 mins. Or maybe that included the audience warm-up guy. Was interesting, but they cut the funniest bit by Merson out for being too controversial about poor old Prince Philip. Was mild by Mock The Week standards.Bruce Rioja wrote:I was supposed to be at the recording of Celebrity Mastermind on Wednesday, but was away so couldn't go. Ocasionally watch old Bullseye episodes on Challenge, average age of audience I noticed is about 87 and they all laugh along heartily with Jim at contestant 'anecdotes'.

It's a joy! Lovely script. Fine professional company. Good, good support from a bunch of Bolton kids really putting in the works and performing beautifully.William the White wrote:Press night at the Octagon for 'Robin Hood' this year's Christmas show... A sort of green-feminist-anarcho-socialist version of the legend, but amiable, heart-warming and fun.
Take the kids, take the grandkids...

Did it revolve around mugging? Do you approve of mugging, William?William the White wrote:It's a joy! Lovely script. Fine professional company. Do you mean actors giving audiences knowing looks in the search for a cheap laugh?Bruce Rioja wrote:Did it revolve around mugging? Or unpleasant people robbing other people more vulnerable than themselves?
I disapprove of both, btw. The second more than the first.
Clearly I'm not getting the point of your question...

I'm taking my nephew for his 7th birthday. He absolutely loved Peter Pan last year. Is it OK for a 7 year old or aimed at older kids?William the White wrote:It's a joy! Lovely script. Some of the subtleties might go above his head but mostly he'll be fine. Enjoy!
Re: Where are you going tonight?
On Friday last I went watching a less-than-thrilling but incredibly compelling doom-laden jazzzzz band by the name of Bohren & Der Club of Gore at the Islington Mill in Salford.
Check out their interesting bleakness here:

Four dudes just making the most sublime drowsy instrumental music.
Turn the lights off, light a couple of candles, puff your pot and relax.

Food in town somewhere followed by 'Singing In The Rain' at the Palace, or the Opera House. Not quite sure which yet, one or t'other, but I'll sort it when we get there. Its all a bit vague really but that's the kind of day I've had.
