Well, now he'll have a tiny window into what he's hoping to subject fish to in the name of his recreational pursuit. I hope it stings like feck for a month. In fact, I hope it stings like feck for a month and then at the end of it his finger falls off.

Whoa. Steady there your Vicarness.thebish wrote:^ on the face of it, not much more ludicrous sounding than the central claims of, say, Catholicism!

I know it's the one true faith coz Fr. Murphy told me so and NO-ONE messed with Fr. Murphy.
He told me whilst swiping me around the head with a catechism ... "God (swipe) ..... is (swipe) .... love (swipe)". Now, who could argue with that ???
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

No .... between "if he does exist and I've refused to acknowledge it then I'm shagged when standing at the pearly gates" and "... & if he doesn't exist then giving a nod to him now (see above) hasn't done any harm anyway, now has it ?"
Y'know. Like how, secretly, you're a Tory you just can't be seen admitting it.

This is one I've never got. Why, if God is so powerful (sorry, 'God'), would anyone think he or she wouldn't see straight through that?! He can create heaven and earth, part the red sea, flood the world, but he can't tell that some dotty old lady has only been going to church as an insurance policy?bobo the clown wrote:No .... between "if he does exist and I've refused to acknowledge it then I'm shagged when standing at the pearly gates" and "... & if he doesn't exist then giving a nod to him now (see above) hasn't done any harm anyway, now has it ?"

In a world that has decided
That it's going to lose its mind
Be more kind, my friends, try to be more kind.

I've got six Roadrunner DVD's covering the early 1990's, compiled by Warthog if I remember correctly. Free to a good home and first to express an interest by pm. I'll even post 'em out for you (or can hand over at Birmingham match).
