What are you watching tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

In Bruges.

Takes its time, but p*ss funny towards the end, trying manfully to avoid the 'Ritchieisms', almost completely succeeding.

Nice.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Like Batman says, Tom Cruise bit is v funny (took me about 5 mins to realise it was him). Has one or two other moments (fake credits are hilarious) but apart from that isn't anything special. Worth the price of a cinema ticket though.

From what little I've seen of this fella, I've found him to be that poor that as soon as I see his mush on the tele I immediately turn either the channel over or the blessed thing off. Has he improved?

I've always been a fan of Al Murray, so I couldn't really give you an honest answer as I never really felt he was that bad in the first place. Admittedly Happy Hour is very much a watered-down version of of 'The Pub Landlord' character, but I'd rather that than the usual chat-show fodder.

It's the same jokes every week, but that just makes it easier to join in when you're drunk :pissed:

Tonight I will be stuck for choice and will be for quite a while. My daughter, a librarian, brought me 61 DVDs yesterday - they are not nicked, they were to be thrown out. Watched The Guns of Navarone last evening (not for any particular reason, it just happened to be top of one of the piles).

It's a pretty eclectic collection and one probably suitable to those of more advanced age rather than those in their teens or twenties. As an example: I've just grabbed seven off a pile (they haven't been sorted yet),

Strauss: Salome - Teresa Stratas as Salome - Wiener Philharmoniker
The Private Life of Sherlock Holmes - Robert Stephens and Colin Blakely
The Night of the Generals - Peter O'Toole and Omar Sharif
The Sand Pebbles - Steve McQueen
Jesus of Nazareth - Robert Powell and Olivia Hussey
The Island at the Top of the World - (a Disney production)
Monteverdi: Il Ritorno D'Ulisse In Patria - Ulisse, Werner Hollweg - Penelope, Trudeliese Schmidt - Das Monteverdi-Ensemble des Opernhauses Zurich.

Feel free to pop in any time folks, but bring your own food and beverages.
