and you've joined him in the "huge assumptions to suit own political stance" method of posting. I have neither professed a faith in or a lack of faith in the system, if by 'system' you mean the financial system, merely an explanation as to the events of past 18months.Lord Kangana wrote:You seem to have a lot of "faith" in the system Commie.

and please in a "sweeping generalisation" sort of way explain your explanation again because up to now all you seem to have done (and i have re-read your posts carefully) is defend the indefensible big city bonuses and the unrestrained free market by drawing attention to the more minor part of my postings attacking the apparent need of companies to pay part of their employees wages in bonuses. And while we are on about "assumptions" based on "Daily Mail"communistworkethic wrote:and you've joined him in the "huge assumptions to suit own political stance" method of posting. I'll ignore your last bit as it's just bollocks on every level including grammatical.lovethesmellofnapalm wrote:and please in a "sweeping generalisation" sort of way explain your explanation again because up to now all you seem to have done (and i have re-read your posts carefully) is defend the indefensible big city bonuses and the unrestrained free market by drawing attention to the more minor part of my postings attacking the apparent need of companies to pay part of their employees wages in bonuses. Are you sure you don't believe in god?headlines rather than knowledge what are you basing your comments on about GCSE Maths or the structure of competitive sport in schools?
The bits in bold are again nonsense, in no way can you suggest that that is the case on any evidence-based system at all.

so 'seem' is in no way an indication that you have formed an opinion? An opinion formed on no real evidence or questioning i.e. you've assumed?Lord Kangana wrote:Say like the assumption you've just made? That kind?

Whereas you're the epitome of objectiveness? Give me a break, seeing as a thousand and one self appointed experts can't agree on exactly whats gone wrong and how things work, its brave of you to hold yourself up as an even handed guardian of the truth.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.

Where have I put forward anything that's not objective? on the GFC and UK banking system, everyone who has any involvement is agreed on the causes just not the solutions. Those conclusions are based on observation and evaluation of evidence and a knowledge of the system itself.Lord Kangana wrote:Whereas you're the epitome of objectiveness? US Election tonight/tomorrow morning...
Obama has taken the two towns that traditionally vote first in the election - Hart's Location and dixville somethingorother.
And has anyone seen this pic of obama and mccain with different coloured skin? To be honest that is a redundant question because you have now.

Looks like an Obama win though I recall it looked like being a Gore win too (which to all intents and purposes it may well have been).
Will be a fascinating night as I still struggle to see the racist American redneck hillbillies voting Obama and I still think it'll be pretty close.
I'll be saying some prayers for an Obama victory today.

There are not really that many redneck hillbillies in the US. The danger to Obama comes from the Christian right (10% of Americans think Obama is a Muslim) and other social conservative elements. I would expect the Pacific and Atlantic seaboard states, and those bordering Canada to be Democrat while the heartland may still be Republican (Canadians favour Obama 6:1 btw and I'm with the majority). If Obama takes Virginia he might win in a landslide, if he doesn't we may be staying up late.BWFC_Insane wrote:Looks like an Obama win though I recall it looked like being a Gore win too (which to all intents and purposes it may well have been).

Verbal - Dixville Notch has only 21 voters who all go to the polls at 12.01 am after a night in the tavern no doubt. They get a 100% turnout, then go to bed. They are first but not especially significant in the electoral college.

We should get a good sense of the situation just after midnight GMT when Virginia, Indiana, and Georgia come in. If McCain goes down in Virginia, North Carolina, and Florida then it's game over.

You assume they'll all come in on time, which I doubt. There will be several too close to calls.mummywhycantieatcrayons wrote:We should get a good sense of the situation just after midnight GMT when Virginia, Indiana, and Georgia come in. And also you have to give the Republicans time to take out some of the African American votes from the count. Only fair after all!

There are also 27 million advance votes which will not be counted for a week or so I gather.BWFC_Insane wrote:You assume they'll all come in on time, which I doubt.
