C,mon Clapton. Get that in the "Sale of the century thread" and don't be interrupting a budding religious debate..clapton is god wrote:I've got six Roadrunner DVD's covering the early 1990's, compiled by Warthog if I remember correctly. Fantastic this, thebish shows a pic of a hook, takes the side of the angels in decrying fishing, then drops same hook back in the pond baited with a maggot and catches half a dozen haddocks...Brilliant...

I reckon, if it turns out he is real, I'm better off rocking up at the pearly gates and saying, 'Come on now, what the feck did you expect me to think? I thought water into wine was a nice touch, but the whole kill your son to cleanse original sin? I'm still not sure that even makes sense. Let's admit we both made mistakes, and I'll just pop in there with a promise never to bring it up again?'bobo the clown wrote:Oooh, Pru.Prufrock wrote:This is one I've never got. Y'know. Like how, secretly, you're a Tory you just can't be seen admitting it.
God isn't fooled, you silly Billy. The foolish people are the ones thinking he could be.

I bet they have a dog with a very cheeky grin and an over-developed wrist.

Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Not that hard to understand surely? Thebish drops a dig at Catholicism into a comment about Jedi religion, after making a comment decrying fishing and hooks another religious debate. . He's the original Izaak Walton.Bruce Rioja wrote:What?TANGODANCER wrote:

Purely jocose at bish's angling success. No insults meant. If Pru keeps digging I'll most likely get hooked too.Bruce Rioja wrote:I got what you meant, I just don't see any haddocks being caught.TANGODANCER wrote:Not that hard to understand surely? Re: General Chit Chat
My lad has an interview for a part time job in a hotel this morning. He's just popped his head round the door and asked to borrow a tie. After a quick look, I've just realised I don't own one any more. I don't wear one for work, I don't even wear one for interviews.
So, ties: 20th century anachronism or still de rigueur??
