What are you playing tonight?

If you have a life outside of BWFC, then this is the place to tell us all about your toilet habits, and those bizarre fetishes.......

Frank Black's first solo album after the Pixies... Teenager of the Year. For one CD it has more tracks than any other I have, 20,+ and every one is a proper song, albeit some are on the short side. I like it because it's upbeat kinda rock and I don't have the faintest idea what he's on about. Bit of a blast from the past and memories of yoof. Rock-wise it's almost as good to work to as Appetite for Destruction and Blood Sugar Sex Magic, certainly makes a good change of pace on a long assignment.
The players you fail to sign never lose you any money.

Listening to this now, never heard it before but sounds really good. Always been a fan of the pixies and the breeders too, good stuff.

Are you on a wind-up? Fecking Shit? :conf:

They were a great band. Four misfit dingbats who came together and wrote some brilliantly dynamic alternative rock music which will live a long time.

Fecking shit? Give Over man!

This is like saying Marvin Gaye was shite. It is simply not plausible to consider Marvin shite, same with the Pixies! Roll on! Certain acts aren't 'shite', they're just not your cup of unpleasantly milky tea. So what if they were the popular Zeitgeist of the time - so were Nirvana. Consider Nirvana 'shite' and i'll apply to have you sectioned!

any road feck this, I've had a lager. Time for more SWANS.

Errr, wasn't Frank Black's first solo album after The Pixies the eponymous Frank Black?

I have no idea who The Pixies are.

There, I've said it.
You can judge the whole world on the sparkle that you think it lacks.
Yes, you can stare into the abyss, but it's staring right back.

Pixies

No THE

And I didn't like them either, so that makes them shite

In the same way fans of 'real' music describe everything XFactor as shite, just cos they don't like it

X Factor is shit though.

As for Pixies, as I've never heard of them, I couldn't give an opinion either way.

Why

Why is it shite?

What about it makes it shite

I thought it was about entertainment and it entertains folk

Maybe it'd be more worthy if they did it in Spanish and added subtitles?

Alright I'll give it a go.

This programme is an amorphous, stifling, cloying, anonymous, regurgitated turd of a programme which does everything it can to stifle creativity and musicianship.

It's Karaoke for the Saturday night audiences who used to lap up Seaside Special and Noel's House Party. There isn't an ounce of creativity amongst them.

In the last show which was two hours long, only 22 minutes were actually spent 'singing'.

The contestants voices are pitch 'tweaked' to keep them on key.

There is no discernible difference between last years contestants and this.

Much as I dislike their singing, Bob Dylan and Neil Young wouldn't stand a cat in hell's chance against this suffocating monolith of the musical equivalent of a malignant tumour.

That's why it's shite. Oh, and Simon Cowell is the biggest smug c*nt on this planet. The c*nt.

And breathe

People like it

They're entertained by it

Thats the aim of the show, surely

Not to gain approval from fans of real music by real musicians who don't get their output 'tweaked' on their releases

Oh no, course they don't
