When the snow was bad our neighbour knocked on and asked us to move our car, which was marginally outside his house, because he wanted to hoover his car out (whilst it was snowing). We said no, he got mad, told us he had two kids (and?) and said he would report us for parking there between 8 and 8, which isn't allowed. He uses (used?) a blue badge, I wasn't sure what for so mentioned it the council. He didn't display it and got a parking ticket today. Ha.

Just picked up my first ever new car, 10 years after passing my test and driving rustbuckets around!
Just the 300 page manual to read... nah.

Haha they've been nothing but horrible to us since we moved in. It's karma! It's because we're not from Chorley and havent married our cousins. They don't like it!Montreal Wanderer wrote:Well, I'm glad you don't live next to me ....talk about Hell having no fury...89bwfc89 wrote:When the snow was bad our neighbour knocked on and asked us to move our car, which was marginally outside his house, because he wanted to hoover his car out (whilst it was snowing). The clocks have changed here and although almost 7:30 it's still light out. Brilliant. Feels like springs arrived already.

My Lawn Mower cuts through anything: Wood, Coins, Grass up over my knees.
So when this morning I accidently turned it around a third over my bare foot; I was glad the blades didn't connect!!!!

Rooting out some stuff in boxes today I was delighted to find a book of mine. Lost a lot of my stuff in previous lives but I bought this one in a second hand shop many, many years ago. Henty and others like G.K Chesterton, Ryder Haggard, Conan Doyle and Edgar Rice Burroughs were my first introduction to novel reading as a kid. Thing is, this book has a name and date in the front in ink, from 1915, 98 years old at least. It's in excellent condition considering and there are a couple similar on e-bay selling for over £30 each. Well chuffed.

Top ironing TD !!
Not advocating mass-murder as an entirely positive experience, of course, but it had its moments.

Today, I'm doing a conference at ewood park. I'm planning to start my presentation by thanking the assembled jackburn fans for six easy points. Its a small thing, but one that will make me happy

2 things.
1st - RAC (Re. angry thread) - sorted the barstewurds.
2nd - idly furtling with little finger in left earhole and I managed to land the largest dollop of earwax on strip of dead skin going. If only Norris McWhirter had witnessed it. It came out with a deep satisfying internal 'crackle' and 'boom', and if it had been a fish, it would have taken hours to land it was so big.

Urgh! Too much information, Spotty.
If it makes you feel better though, one of our ex-prime ministers was 'caught' on television during a parliamentary debate doing just as you - the difference was that he proceeded to suck his finger clean.
