Cheers for that guys. It was a lovely and light hearted send off which is just what she would have wanted.
Commiserations mate.

Not looking forward to it.
Very sorry to hear that, condolences.

Thank you all for your best wishes, it was hard yesterday but we gave her the send off she wanted. She's now in a better place and away from her suffering. Thanks again , it means a lot.

How is it that I never lose my phone - it's always in one of three places, those being on the back of the couch, on the bedside table, or in my pocket - yet on average thrice a month, the missus turns the house upside down because she's misplaced hers?

I wouldn't mind so much, but she uses hers more than I use mine!

Bemused...

that's probably the key - she uses it in more places and is forever picking it up and putting it down... (also - women are not quite as bright as men..)

Talk of Lancasters has just reminded me. When I was coming through Dublin Airport last week, I was accosted by a young man trying to flog me summat. Turns out they've installed a Boeing 737 simulator that you can have a go at landing. I'd love a go at that, but there was no way I was about to part with the requisite €45.00 for the pleasure!

Kind of makes a joke all these modern planes and a display for everything of George landing a spitfire, asking his ground crew to patch a couple of holes in the wing and while they are at it cylinder no 3 sounds a bit ropey

If you're interested in that sort of thing, Bruce, try and get hold of Microsoft's Flight Simulator X (assuming you are using a reasonably recent version of MS Windows). It comes with a hangar populated with a decent variety of aircraft, from little Cessnas and Piper Cubs to the Airbus and Boeing, which will keep you busy whilst you're learning. It's good fun playing around with it. It is not though, and doesn't pretend to be, a true replication of a real aircraft's behaviour - although you can get yourself into trouble quite easily if you are careless, it's not all that forgiving.

Its advantage is, of course, that you don't have to pay umpteen Euros after crashing to have another go.

Are there seriously people that are a little upset because it looks like The Sun is finally pulling its prehistoric practice of having a topless girl on page three? :conf:

I can't see the problem. The Ornithological Monthly often has tits on page three. :conf:
