Gravy anywhere near battered fish is f**king digusting.

Pudding Chips peas and Gravy

Fish Chips and peas with scraps and pea wet.

And Black Pudding doesn't come sliced and fried.

Lashings of gravy on pie and chips is a big yes.

However, have to say, never ever on battered (or otherwise) fish. Ever! Meat gravy on fish? Yuck!

Don't care for mushy peas either. Fish chips and curry sauce is ok!

Did I feck, pie and chips if I'm having it at home, often when go for pub lunch it only comes with mash.

I had pudding and chips, and no gravy, other than the lovely stuff inside the pudding. Was ace.

made a huge spiced-winter-veg hot-pot today, featuring:

swede
sweet potato
parsnip
carrot
onion
spinach
split peas

it was the very purest distillation of yumminess....

also - I never cease to be amazed at how much spinach you can stuff into a hotpot and within seconds it has disappeared!

Sounds far to healthy - my pre athletics snack consists of Flame grilled steak McCoy crisps and a white chocolate and raspberry cookie. That should keep me going til dinner time... 8)

Just had pork sausages and mash with swedes, carrots, butter beans and fried onions. All with plenty of the wife's excellent gravy. Grand. :)

I'm of an age that I'm able to remember puddings coming with big chunks of meat in like that. Now they just contain this Prufrock delighting slurry ;)

But did you used to go to the chippy with your own bowl for them to put the pudding (& fckg gravy) into ?
