"You are a hyena and a jackal"
"Err all I did was point out the inaccuracies of what you're telling me"
"You've deliberately wasted my time, I think you're imbalanced"
"Didn't you ring me? Anyhow, I pointed out in the first sentences that the machine I was looking at was connected to an IL5 network, maybe it didn't occur to you that this IL5 network has no external connections?"
"Why did you go through all my instructions, you hyena, laughing at me"
"Well you insisted I was wrong, you were most persuasive, I did point out, about 20 minutes in that I was an Enterprise Architect and didn't know half the things you were telling me, I wanted to learn"
"You are a bloody liar"

Yadda, yadda...

What on earth is a sales prevention officer? Sounds counter-productive to me.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:

Indeedy doody. Doesn't everybody have a sales prevention officer? Sometimes they're plain lazy, some are just incompetent, but some go out of their way to actively put off customers and put as many obstacles to selling anything to outsiders as they humanly can.TANGODANCER wrote:Think that might be LLS's humour at work Monty.Montreal Wanderer wrote:What on earth is a sales prevention officer? Ah, you see I spent my life in service not sales. Over here people always seem to anxious to sell me something - perhaps we need more SPOs.Lost Leopard Spot wrote:Indeedy doody. Generally this criticism comes from folks who then go on to try and convince you that the margin will all right itself, when we land the multi-billion dollar pull-through on the back of it as part of the next stage of the campaign.

People are funny.
I drove past the Leigh Sports Village today. At the roundabout there was a sign reading ... and I quote. ... "Nearly New Baby Sale".
Slightly soiled maybe ??

Re: Today I'm happy about......
Change-over from Sky to Virgin went smoothly this morning and everything set up nicely. Our time slot was 8-1 and the engineer was here at 8am on the dot. Now showing a 10 fold increase in broadband speed, which is nice but probably doesn't mean much in the great scheme of things.
Also treated myself to a custom domain and email address this morning and that also went without a hitch.
