Rain Man" haha, it had about 75 points!Il Pirate wrote:General Mannerheim wrote:Does anybody watch 'Pointless'? (weekdays, BB2, 16:30)
absoultely the best quiz show on tv atm!
It's drawn me in like a man in a car stopping and asking if I want to see some puppies. I know I shouldn't, but I can't help looking at it. That Richard guy is funny with a very dry sense of humour. laughed out loud the other day when the questions were on imperial measurements.
" A pint would have cost you 35 points; but up north it's a lot cheaper" Class.
I also enjoy the smug gits who go for obscure answers but get them completely wrong! tis a belting programme. set yer sky pluses!
Thats the guy. He also appeared on the last series of 'who do you think you are'; which was also excellent. He can trace his family all the way back to being a descendant of William the Conquerer. Posh git

Part two of Frankie Boyle's Tram-adol Nights. Last week's was shite. Pure shite.
Neither funny nor shocking; Which is a shame because funny and shocking are the two things he's good at.
if this is much to go by - I'm not losing any sleep over missing it...
whatever you think of Jordan or her family, this just isn't funny...
On Tuesday night's programme, Boyle said: "Jordan and Peter Andre are still fighting each other over custody of Harvey - eventually one of them will lose and have to keep him."
He went on to say: "I have a theory about the reason Jordan married a cage fighter - she needed a man strong enough to stop Harvey from f**king her."

Depends on your sense of humour, doesn't it. Some of his stuff is great, some isn't - like all comedians.

Tonight I'll be mostly watching Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party. It's a thing that I've been meaning to watch for quite some time. Anyway, on Saturday evening I was at a party and got talking with a girl called Abigail, which reminded me to order it up. £5 off of Play.com - sorted!

Bought it, Will, so available to lend should you require. The development of the characters over the course of the piece is absolutely superb, but it really is a play that's made for stage. I can't wait to see it live somewhere.William the White wrote:Lovefilm, Bruce!!!Bruce Rioja wrote:Tonight I'll be mostly watching Mike Leigh's Abigail's Party. Was just trying to save you a fiver... It's outstanding - rarely performed on stage these days, but I've seen it a couple of times... Don't need to borrow. It's outstanding and among Leigh's very best, I reckon.Bruce Rioja wrote:Bought it, Will, so available to lend should you require. Did you note, by the way, Billster, that I mentioned watching A Very Long Engagement, last night? A very, very good French language film.

I liked the novel - read it about three/four years ago, fine work...

Just opened the LoveFilm envelope and next up is The Wave. Has anyone seen it? It's a German film about a teacher that embarks upon a Third Reich type of experiment with his pupils.

If I could suggest, oh great one, I'd do the last two first.Hoboh wrote:X-Factor the live final pt1, followed by MamaMia on DVD accompanied by some dodgy liquior I've been asked to try out and a joint shared with friends.
I think you'll find they improve the first two.
